The sound of footsteps snapped you out of it. You quickly wiped away your tears just as Thomas came in and closed the door.
"What's wrong?" he asked, lighting a cigarette before collapsing in front of you.
He stared at you, as if he could read you… and he did. He had seen you before, listening.
"I only need it for the child, it's not a big deal," she said coldly.
