Appearance

Wukai has dyed blonde hair, over which he usually wears a headband. He told Nekoma's coach, Nekomata, that he looked like his grandfather, former coach Ukai. He has two earrings on his left ear (Episode 14).

In his youth, he had a dark short haircut, but otherwise he looked the same. Personality

His behavior is quite typical for a man of twenty years old.

He smokes and drinks, and is willing to talk casually about alcohol with minors, such as when he talked about the "first sip of beer" to explain to Karasuno their tactics. He also quite loves to compete; that's why he became a coach for the first-years – he wanted to beat Nekoma in a practice match, but he continued to coach even after that because he challenged Nekoma's coaches to another fight.

Sugawara and Daichi have already noticed once that he looks lazy, but is good at his duties. Takeda stated that Ukai excelled in guiding juniors in high school and college, and was very insightful in analyzing opposing schools. It seems that Ukai is very hardworking, despite what he says. For example, the fact that he has changed his work schedule so that he has to work on the farm in the early morning in order to make up for the time he spent with Karasuno.

At the very beginning, he is shown as an ordinary cranky salesman in Sakanoshita, who often silently reads the newspaper and smokes behind the counter. He often swears at the volleyball club when students make noise outside his store. Tanaka called him a lazy salesman when Ukai said that they ran out of food without even bothering to check. However, he has a soft side, such as giving free popsicles to Tanaka, Hinata, and Kageyama, even though Ryunosuke insulted him.

Appearance

Takeda has messy black hair and brown eyes, over which he wears glasses. He often wears a green sports jacket with a black tie. His height is about the same as Hinata's, which makes him look younger than he actually is. Takeda's personality

is persistent, a trait that helped him secure training matches and a coach for the team. He is optimistic and rather modest and clumsy. He is polite and respectful towards others, as evidenced by his constant bows in gratitude and requests for practice matches or similar things. Takeda is usually funny, but can become very intimidating when he gets angry.

Despite his humility, Takeda has repeatedly demonstrated that he can be firm with his students and takes his work as a club teacher and consultant seriously. He also often delivers rousing speeches and encouragement speeches, using a wide range of analogies and imagery to inspire the team; however, he sometimes becomes shy and worries that the concepts behind his speeches may be too confusing for the team to understand (a concept that Daichi quickly rejects).

He has very little personal experience in volleyball, despite being appointed as an advisor to the volleyball club. He is acutely aware of his limitations and strives to work as hard as he can for the students on the team. His perseverance ultimately pays dividends when he successfully hires Keishin Ukai as Karasuno's new coach and subsequently organizes a training match with Karasuno's previous rival at Nekoma High School

Kiyoko's

appearance is an attractive girl, with short black hair just below her shoulders. Its external distinguishing feature is a small mole, which is located on the lower left part of the chin. She is also blue-eyed and wears glasses. Personality: A

After Yachi joins the team, Kiyoko opens up and shows a lot more emotion, often smiling and even joking to calm Yachi down.

Hitoki has blonde, unevenly cut hair just above her shoulders. She usually wears a brightly colored hairpin in the form of a star, which she uses to gather some of her hair into a ponytail on the left side.

As a vice captain, he calms down his teammates and acts as a prop and support for them. Even if he is no longer Karasuno's main setter, he does not think about abandoning the game altogether. In this way, he encourages himself and all his teammates not to give up, no matter what difficult situation they are in.

Sugawara's devotion to volleyball is made clear when he decides to pursue club activities, even if most of the thirds decide to leave to focus on their studies. Upon meeting, his teacher asked Sugawara why he decided to continue playing even if he wasn't the main player, and Sugawara replied that he didn't want to regret leaving in the future.

He is also quite perceptive, as he noticed Tanaka asking for a key to the gym (for Kageyama and Hinata's training, before a 3v3 game between first-years), though he is always late, so Sugawara knew Tanaka was up to something. He is also smart because he comes up with useful tactics during the game. An example of this is when he had the idea for a Kageyama and Hinata combo.

Despite his nurturing demeanor, he is sometimes mischievous, as seen in the way he supports Hinata to break into the youth camp uninvited. He is also prone to violence when teasing his teammates, often spanking them when he is excited to join the game, although this also has the effect of cheering on the team.

He is also quite proud, although this is very rarely shown. Notable examples are when he said, "Kageyama, from now on, if you start being bombarded with interviews, you'll say, 'I learned everything from the great Sugawara senpai,' understood?" and when he bragged about how he came up with Kageyama's name and Hinata's new "minus tempo" technique.

Asahi's appearance is

quite a tall guy. He has a fairly strong, athletic build. He has long brown hair, pulled back from the roots, and large brown eyes. There is a beard. A little later, he began to wear a special elastic band to support his hair so that it would not get in the way while playing.

In the second season, he stopped tying his hair in a bun, but began to wear a bandage. In

the beginning, he is shown to be weak-willed when he left the team before the first-years joined, feeling that he had let his teammates down when they lost to Elder Dateko as they were counting on him. When he returns to the team, he realizes that his craving for volleyball is much stronger than he thought, and with the help of his teammates, he finally recognizes himself as an ace Karasuno and gains confidence.

Asahi has a "fragile heart" because he takes everything he says to heart and immediately becomes depressed. At the same time, he feels insecure about many things, and even looks like a coward. However, in later chapters, he clearly stated that no one would take his position as an ace, thus showing his development in comparison with the beginning

Nishinoya is the shortest player on the team, standing at 159 cm tall (160.5 cm according to Chapter 207). Despite his small stature, Yu has a thin but sturdy build. He has tousled dark hair that adds to his height of 10 cm and large brown eyes of an unusual shape; A strand of hair falling over her forehead was discolored. But he's also unexpectedly shy when it comes to talking to girls he's never met before.

Nishinoya has a bizarre habit of spontaneously coming up with rather ridiculous names for his movements, which he performs in practice. Noah can be extremely impatient, agitated, and impulsive. As Tanaka put it, "He's too hot-tempered for his own good." Yuu doesn't worry about his speech, so he can say whatever he's thinking in the most tactless way. In addition, he is somewhat of a slacker, as evidenced by his less-than-stellar work ethic at school and his usual lateness to practice. Despite all this, he shows care and support for his teammates and even protects his junior students. Tanaka shows great interest in girls, as evidenced by the numerous posters of female idols hung in his room. One girl he's particularly interested in is Kiyoko Shimizu. He often approaches her and tries to talk, although his advances are usually ignored, which he claims turns him on. He is also able to understand different people, as Tanaka has stated several times before, and when he knew how to give Yamaguchi confidence before his pitch. He became super-responsible due to his failures, as a replacement for the injured Daichi, after three of his attacks going out of bounds, and his previous saved balls helped Karasuno win over Wakutani.

Like Tanaka, he has a shaved head, but Narita's hair is slightly darker. He is tall and slender. He has wide brown eyes and narrow eyebrows that match his hair color.

Kageyama's height and impressively sharp gaze are said to be the most outstanding physical characteristics. He has a very muscular build. He often emits an intimidating aura, which is enhanced by an almost constant frown on his face. His black hair is cut short, and his bangs hang down just above his dark blue eyes. Perpetually sullen, arrogant, and undeniably short-tempered, Kageyama was originally a typical domineering perfectionist, caring only about winning and completely ignoring the opinions and well-being of his teammates. His habit of complaining about their performance and shouting orders eventually led to him being nicknamed the "king of the court" by other Kitagawa Daiichi players, a constant reminder of the despotic, self-centered attitude he displayed during his high school volleyball career.

Unbeknownst to most of his schoolmates and acquaintances, however, he is far more sensitive and infantile than he appears; He simply does not know how to control his frustration, and therefore expresses his thoughts and emotions in an inappropriate way.

After everyone in Kitagawa Daiichi grew tired of him and left his side, Kageyama was filled with genuine regret and developed a strong fear of being despised and distrustful, but refused to openly discuss his problem until Tsukishima confronted him about it.

Despite his inability to communicate properly, he genuinely wants to do his best and is extremely passionate and dedicated when it comes to volleyball, to the point where he gets overly excited by almost every successful move he makes with Hinata.

Since joining Karasuno, he has become more respectful of his high school students (particularly Sugawara and Asahi), as well as more tolerant of people whose abilities and/or views differ from his own (such as Tsukishima), and has once again learned the importance of teamwork

When Hinata became a first-year high school student, he was 162.8 cm tall, but by the middle of the school year, he had grown to 164.2 cm. Shoyo is one of the shortest players on the team, only Nishinoya is shorter than him (although his height is quite average for a Japanese male high school student). He has unruly red hair and brown eyes. His relatively lean physique and short stature often lead to him being mistaken for a junior high school student (and in some cases, even elementary school). Hinata usually dresses in her Karasuno school uniform with a black jacket and black pants. Underneath his jacket, he wears a beige or brown sweatshirt. In the first episode, he was wearing his high school's green volleyball uniform.

During matches, Hinata wears her volleyball uniform, a black jersey and matching shorts with white and orange stripes on the sides. On the back of his jersey is the number 10 (coincidentally, the same number worn by the Little Giant) and his school's name written in kanji. On the court, he wears knee pads and white volleyball sneakers with red stripes. Hinata has a cheerful and energetic personality. He is a cheerful and easy-going guy. For the most part, Hinata is very simple-minded, which sometimes makes him make rash decisions. However, he also showed himself to be quite observant. Hinata is very sensitive and very sympathetic to other people's sufferings and experiences. Therefore, he often says exactly what others need to hear in order to push themselves in the right direction. His friendly and straightforward nature makes it easy for him to make friends with even the quietest of people, such as Kenma from Elder Nekoma and Aone from Dateko.

Tsukishima is very tall and incredibly thin for a volleyball player. Despite being a freshman, he is the tallest on the volleyball team at 190.1 cm tall, has short blond hair, pale skin, thin eyebrows, and golden-brown eyes. On his face, you can often see a frown or a condescending grin.

After joining the Karasuno volleyball team, Tsukishima wears the standard Karasuno uniform (black, orange, and white with the number 11 on the back) during matches. He also wears knee pads and white volleyball shoes with green accents. He is the only player in the Karasuno team who wears glasses. As of Chapter 109, Tsukishima wears sports glasses that his brother gave him.

Outside of matches and training, Tsukishima wears a black gakuran, Karasuno's men's uniform. He is usually seen wearing white headphones around his neck. Apparently, these are Somy brand headphones, which is a reference to the Sony brand. He was also seen wearing various crescent moon t-shirts, which is a play on his surname "Tsukishima", where tsuki means "moon".

Tsukishima is very straightforward and sometimes infuriates his teammates due to his antagonistic nature (especially Hinata, Kageyama, Nishinoi, and Tanaka), and sometimes other teams due to his smug behavior. He takes pride in inconveniencing his opponents and enjoys it, as is the case with Tendo and Shirabu.

Whenever someone does or says something stupid or ridiculous, they can usually be seen giggling on the sidelines. However, he seems to be afraid of his elders: when Daichi chastises Tanaka for provoking Aoba Josai, he disappears, and when Ennoshita reprimands him, he immediately retreats.

Despite his outward arrogance, Tsukishima suffers from low self-esteem and believes that he is inferior to others in some areas. This comes as a surprise to Kuroo, who accidentally turns him on, assuming he will lose to Hinata, to which Tsukishima replies that he is already shorter than him.

He has dark grayish-green hair, with one strand sticking up. He has large eyes with small amber pupils. Yamaguchi is taller than average in height and thin build. Because of this, as well as his freckles, he was bullied as a child,[3] though he doesn't seem to be bothered now.

After joining the Karasuno volleyball team, Yamaguchi wears a black, orange, and white Karasuno uniform with the number 12 on the back. He also wears knee pads and white volleyball shoes with black accents. Outside of matches and training, Yamaguchi wears a black gakuran - the Karasuno uniform.

In his third year of high school, Yamaguchi cut his hair shorter. After the timeskip, he kept this hairstyle. Yamaguchi is quite shy and relies heavily on others at first, which is most likely due to being bullied because of his appearance. Despite this, Yamaguchi is generally a good person, but sometimes joins Tsukishima to play pranks on others, mainly Kageyama and Hinata. He is a loyal friend and always ready to support his teammates. Yamaguchi can sometimes be seen defending Tsukishima from what he considers insults to his friend.

At first, Yamaguchi constantly doubted his abilities and struggled to cope with his excitement. Thanks to Shimada's hard work and mentorship, he was able to improve his skills and become more confident. By the time Karasuno had to play a rematch with Aoba Josei in the semifinals, Yamaguchi had achieved exceptional success both in the game and emotionally.
