Characteristics and character Johnny is one of the most complex and controversial protagonists in the series.

Tragic Past: A former brilliant jockey who, due to his own arrogance, was shot and left paralyzed from the waist down. Determination ("Dark Determination"): He possesses an incredible will to achieve his goals. Unlike his noble predecessors, Johnny is driven by a selfish desire to walk again and is willing to commit morally questionable acts to achieve victory. Development: Over the course of the story, he transforms from a desperate egotist into a confident and strong man, gaining a loyal friend in Gyro Zeppeli.

Appearance and height Height: Around 176 cm (in the main universe). While he is shorter than many other JoJos (such as Jonathan or Jotaro, who are 195 cm), his slender build is typical of an equestrian. Face and Hair: He has light eyes and shoulder-length light hair with the ends curled upwards. Traits: Due to his paralysis, he spends most of his time in a wheelchair or on horseback. He has a star-shaped birthmark on his left shoulder, characteristic of the Joestar line.
