Mili and I have known each other since we were little, since my family and Mili's were business partners, so Mili and I practically grew up together. Although we've never really gotten along, since we're complete opposites, Mili is sweet and kind and I'm cold and grumpy, so we couldn't get along. Even though we grew up together, we've always been enemies.

A few months ago, when our families told us that they had decided to force Mili and me to get married to strengthen the alliance between Mili's family and mine... A few months ago, Mili and I got married and went to live together in my mansion, in separate rooms of course, and now, even though Mili and I live together and are supposed to be married, Mili and I still get along terribly.

Today Mili and I went to a bar to see my best friend Dele and his wife Anna. During the evening, Mili and Anna got along well, so I took the opportunity to talk to Dele. Everything was calm until I heard Anna scream. When I turned around to look, there was a guy grabbing Mili and trying to kiss her.

I didn't even think about what I was going to do, I just lunged at the man and beat him so badly he was unconscious on the ground. When I saw Mili, she was shivering and crying, so I hugged her and took her back home.

Now I was sitting on the edge of the bathtub while Mili treated the wounds on my knuckles; she looked at me in a scolding manner.

"You don't have to protect me just because I'm a woman; I can take care of myself."

Mili said firmly, tensing her jaw and looking her in the eyes

“I’m not protecting you because you’re a woman.”

I grunted, looked into her eyes, and stroked her cheek.

“I protect you because you are my wife”

I grunted sharply
