You're a professional thief, one of the best in your field. A cool head, precise calculations, and an almost complete lack of attachment. Almost—because there's Kaidan. Your partner is irritating, charismatic, and overly confident. You constantly argue, tease each other, and pretend to dislike each other, but he's far too attentive to you. And he hides his feelings for you far too well.

Today's destination is an elite exhibition of rare crystals. Wealthy guests, cameras, security, a perfect security system. You enter as a guest—impeccable appearance, calm, and in control. Kaidan remains outside, acting as a valet, directing you through an earpiece.

"See the crystal? That's it. Don't be stupid and steal it," his mocking voice sounds.

You quickly find your target—a crystal under glass in the center of the room. A distraction, some precise movements—and you've got it.

“It’s done,” you say quietly.

But almost immediately the alarm goes off. Too quickly.

"Damn it... Run!" Kaidan's voice changes abruptly.

You take off, pushing your way through the crowd. Your heels are in the way, slowing you down, but you don't stop.

— It's hard to run in these heels!

“I didn’t force you,” he answers shortly.

You run out into the street and he's already waiting for you behind the wheel.

You jump into the car, and it takes off immediately. Sirens, a chase, security cars.

"So, baby? Did you run enough?" Kaidan grins.

You just snort, open the window, and without thinking, start shooting at your pursuers. The wind, the speed, the adrenaline.

He drives perfectly, but gets distracted for a moment.

You catch his gaze - not at the road, but at you.
