Appearance: He wears a dark kimono with a white haori over it, and has medium-length dark hair. His face is covered in bulging veins due to a birth defect. By the time he first meets Tanjiro, his irises have already lightened due to the blindness that developed as the disease progresses. On his feet, Kyojuro wears red tabi socks with yellow flames erupting from the bottom upward, with a pair of white zōri with red straps. Kyojuro is a kind and honest man. He is quite eccentric, prone to letting his emotions run wild. At the same time, Kyojuro possesses an unwavering optimism and tremendous fortitude, instilled in him by his mother at a young age, which helps him not only find strength in difficult situations but also support those around him.

Kyojuro fulfills his duty as a Hashira and Demon Slayer with great enthusiasm. His worldview is based on the idea, instilled in him by his mother as a child, that the strong must protect the weak. From his father, he inherited the discipline and steadfastness he acquired through training. Flame Breathing is a breath that mimics flames and reproduces them through the user's movements, styles, and abilities. Most, if not all, known styles involve extremely powerful single strikes and moves that are so intense they "burn" opponents.

The Breath of Flame was developed by a distant ancestor of the Rengoku family, who was originally a student of Yoriichi Tsugikuni. It can be assumed that this student attempted to master the Breath of the Sun, but because he was not as strong as Yoriichi, his teacher changed his teaching style to focus on his student's individual skills and abilities. Ultimately, his student continued training with the new method, eventually creating a new breath. Pillar of Fire

Shinobu displays a bright, friendly, and cheerful demeanor, always sporting a good-natured smile no matter the situation. However, her outward demeanor is a mask. Despite her calm demeanor and her initial desire to get along with demons, she can be quite cruel towards them, as demonstrated when she kills the Spider Demon's daughter after giving her false hope of helping her and attempted to kill Nezuko Kamado without hesitation. Later, after hearing their full story, she shows more compassion for both Tanjiro Kamado and his sister. It is later revealed that her outwardly calm and serene nature is merely a mask, as Shinobu harbors a profound hatred for Demons due to the loss of her sister, Kanae Kocho, at a young age, as well as the deaths of her parents, nearly all of her Tsuguko families, and her students at the Butterfly Mansion. This hatred is so strong that she is in a near-constant state of extreme anger, which is felt by Tanjiro Kamado when the two converse. After demons killed their parents, she joined the Demon Slayer Corps alongside her sister to protect others from the same fate. Shinobu was a petite girl with pale skin and large, compound eyes that lacked pupils, only a hazy gradient. The purple irises became darker the lower they went, giving her eyes an insect-like appearance. She had shoulder-length hair that faded from black to dark purple, typically pinned back in a yakai-maki style with a white and purple butterfly-shaped clip. Shinobu was short in stature and was described as having a small and weak appearance, which was later reinforced by her statements that she lacked the physical strength to cut off a Demon's head like the other Hashira. Shinobu wore the standard Demon Slayer uniform, consisting of a dark purple, black, straight-lined jacket and hakama pants that were tucked into the butterfly-patterned fabric around her legs. She also wore a white haori that belonged to her older sister, featuring a pattern of butterfly wings that faded to turquoise and then pink on the sleeves, with black and white dots on the cuffs, and white sandals with purple straps. Muichiro was a short, fair-haired boy with long, straight black hair tipped with a pale turquoise color. He wore his hair loose, with two clumps slightly protruding on each side of his head. He also had large, empty-looking, mint-green eyes. His eyes and hair were similar to his twin brother, Yuichiro Tokito.

Muichiro wore a dark, slightly turquoise version of the Demon Slayer uniform. His uniform had longer, looser sleeves, more reminiscent of a kimono than the standard hunter uniform. Muichiro is a flighty individual who seems to constantly wander in his thoughts and never seems to focus on one thing. Emotionless and at times a bit silly, he tends to think only of himself and acts solely on logic, never allowing his emotions to guide him. Despite this, he has been shown to become serious when required and is dedicated to his position as the Mist Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps. Alternatively, he seems to exhibit a cold and arrogant side; violently shaking Kotetsu and calling him stupid, saying that his time as a Hashira was very important, and that "all" swordsmiths could only make weapons. In the future, Muichiro would become slightly more emotional, and his actions would show signs of sarcasm and smugness towards Gyokko, Upper Moon Five. Hashira of the Mist

Gyomei embodies the gentle giant archetype, being surprisingly gentle and sensitive despite his intimidating appearance. He has also shown himself to be quite devout, constantly wearing his rosary beads and offering prayers in dire situations. Most notably, Gyomei easily cries over the most insignificant things, emphasizing his rather gentle nature. This could be due to his love for all living beings, borne of his religious upbringing, and was hinted at when he felt such disgust while beating a demon that he would never forget the feeling for the rest of his life. Like the rest of his fellow Pillars, Gyomei holds Kagaya Ubuyashiki in great esteem. He is also one of the most respected people among the Pillars, a symbol of hope thanks to his immense strength. Furthermore, Gyomei acts as a leader to them, as seen when he sat at the front during a Pillar meeting and was the one Kagaya trusted to give them orders.

Despite maintaining a rather reserved personality, Gyomei maintains a very objective and somewhat suspicious view of those around him, thanks to his experiences before becoming a Demon Slayer. He is always aware of what others are capable of, especially children or those younger than him, given the opportunity. Due to his dubious nature, it can take Gyomei some time to fully accept and trust others. When he does open up and let others in, he is unwavering in his commitment to them. Hashir Stone

Gyomei is a twenty-seven-year-old man with a powerful build and well-developed muscles. Combined with his powerful build, his height noticeably towers over others. He has a slightly tanned complexion. His eyes are narrow, almond-shaped, accentuated by wide, black, arched eyebrows. He has no irises due to congenital blindness. He has short, slightly uneven black hair, reminiscent of a classic side-swept bob. A horizontal scar, lighter than his dark skin, runs across his forehead, just below his hairline. He wears a slightly modified black demon hunter uniform from the Meiji-Taisho era. His uniform consists of white zori with gray-brown tabi straps and no socks, a tatsuke hakama wrapped with white shin wraps, and a white sash. Over this, he wears a gakuran jacket with the sleeves rolled up to the elbows. Its white lapel is visible. The jacket has no top buttons or buttonholes, only a single gold button fastened at the bottom, above the waist. The collar is standing and unbuttoned, and on the back of the jacket is the white kanji "滅." Sanemi is a tall, muscular, and slender man. He has silver hair and deep purple eyes. Due to frequent encounters with demons and the use of his special blood on them, his entire body is covered in jagged scars and marks.

He wears a black version of the standard Demon Slayer uniform, unbuttoned to reveal his chest and abs, over which he wears a white, long-sleeved cape with the kanji for "murder" etched on the back, white buckles on his shins, and tabi socks with a pair of white zori with green straps. Sanemi is blunt, hot-tempered, extroverted, and stubborn, often impulsive and quick to anger. He is often indifferent to others and can easily lose his temper. The only person Sanemi ever showed respect for was Kagaya Ubuyashiki, and only afterward did Sanemi realize there was much more to the man than his appearance suggested. Sanemi also demonstrated a thirst for battle, desiring to face the demons of the Upper Ranks and declaring his joy at battling the Upper Rank One, Kokushibo. Sanemi's cold, rude, and dismissive demeanor is the result of losing too many people he cared about in the past. Later, when he sees those who have died, like his mother, he can't help but smile at her just to see her again. When Gyonya joins the Demon Slayers in search of Sanemi, Sanemi hurls verbal abuse at him, but Tanjiro can tell that Sanemi didn't truly hate him; in fact, he still felt the same brotherly love for him as he had as a child. However, this was never expressed outwardly, as he tried to push Gyonya away from himself and the Demon Slayers so he wouldn't be in danger. Because of all those he lost to demons, he harbors a deep hatred for demons and is convinced that humans and demons can never coexist. Giyu is a tall young man with long, messy black hair tied in a low ponytail. He has thin eyebrows and sharp, dark blue eyes.

Giyu wears the standard black Demon Slayer uniform, along with a haori with two different patterns: one solid red and one with a geometric pattern of green, orange, and yellow (based on the haori worn by his late older sister and Sabito, respectively). Giyu is always serious and has a strong sense of justice. He abandons Nezuko because he was moved by Tanjiro's fervent pleas, but otherwise, Giyu slays demons without hesitation. He worries about the opinions of others. When Shinobu said many dislike him, Giyu was surprised.

He doesn't know how to get along with people, so he treats everyone coldly.

Giyu feels unworthy of the title of Hashira due to the incident during the final selection. Sabito, his friend, killed the most demons and tried to protect all the participants, which led to his death. Giyu, meanwhile, simply survived, failing to prove himself a good fighter and failing to help Sabito. His guilt becomes so strong that he considers resigning his position as the Water Hashira, but Tanjiro asks him just in time if Giyu made any promises to Sabito. The Pillars are the nine most powerful swordsmen among the Demon Slayers, supported by the Demon Slayer organization. Each Pillar possesses a unique breathing style, which they perfect and develop through extreme training. Behind this group stands the leader of the Demon Slayers, Kagaya Ubuyashiki.

The Pillars are constantly searching for a Tsuguko (successor) to take their place after their death or retirement. Each Pillar is assigned to a specific region, which they are charged with protecting.

They must also gather information about demons and improve their swordsmanship. To become a Tsuguko, you must either apply and be approved by the Pillars, or they themselves will find you and take you on for training. Sharing the same breathing style as the Pillar can also help in choosing a successor, but they can also accept someone with a different style. "Pillar Training" is a special training session conducted by the Pillars and numerous lower-ranking Demon Slayers. The goal of the training is to improve the physical abilities and overall health of all Demon Slayers, giving members of the Demon Slayer Corps a better chance of winning the war against the Demons.

Each of the Pillars occupies a different part of the training program. The well-known training includes: basic endurance training, flexibility training, speed training, swordsmanship training, striking training, and muscle training.

Hashira training is extremely strenuous, causing most Demon Slayers to view the training as an eternal journey to hell, with a few notable exceptions who view the session as a chance to improve themselves.

As a rule, the Pillars must take part in each other's training.

The Corps was founded approximately a thousand years ago, during the Heian period. This occurred after Muzan Kibutsuji, a distant relative of the current Ubuyashiki family, inadvertently became the first demon. As a result, a curse fell upon the Ubuyashiki bloodline, causing subsequent generations to suffer premature deaths. Seeking leadership, the Ubuyashiki family heeded the advice of a priest and founded the Corps. They took it upon themselves to lead the battle against Muzan and his demons, believing that by eliminating demons from the world, they could lift the curse that haunted their bloodline. A group of elite warriors, the Hashira (Pillars), comprised of the most powerful demon slayers, are the highest-ranking members of the organization, second only to the leader. To become a Hashira, a slayer must first reach the rank of Kinoe and then slay 50 demons or a twelve-moon demon. In the centuries following the Corps' creation, they have had moderate success in destroying some of the demons created by Muzan, but none have been able to reach the Demon King himself. Obanai and Mitsuri exchange letters every day. For Obanai, not eating for 3 days is normal. Obanai's hobbies include reading senryu and haiku (genres of poetry) and observing the process of amezaiku (the traditional Japanese art of making animal-shaped candy). Obanai's birthday coincided. Obanai's encounter with Mitsuri was love at first sight. He was so stunned that Kaburamaru also began to panic, which, for some reason, led to Kaburamaru biting Obanai.

Training with the Pillars." Obanai is in charge of teaching proper swordsmanship. When Tanjiro arrives for training, Obanai claims to have been waiting for him. Tanjiro tries to introduce himself, but Obanai tells him to shut up. He tells Tanjiro that he heard about him from Mitsuri, but warns him that, unlike her, he is not a very good person. Obanai, thus completing his training. Immediately afterward, Obanai tells Tanjiro to "get the hell out of there" and never speak to Mitsuri again. Weapon: Nichirin Twisted Katana: Obanai wields a heavily modified Nichirin katana, similar in appearance to the Indonesian Kris sword, with the sword's shape modeled after waves resembling a writhing, lavender-colored snake. The hilt of his katana is a golden, circular shape engraved with two snakes connected by several plant patterns. The words "Demon Slayer" are engraved on the side. Obanai also carries a special leather sheath, held together by a weak magnetic pull, which opens whenever he uses his katana. It turned out the snake demon didn't kill him outright thanks to his unusual eyes. After examining Obanai, the snake demon ordered two women to cut his mouth open to make him look like her. Surviving this, he realized he needed to escape as quickly as possible.

Personality Obanai was a very inquisitive man, but also slightly suspicious and cautious in all situations. Obanai disliked hunters who violated the Demon Slayer Code and immediately stopped any negligence, as he did with Tanjiro at the trial. He often used harsh language toward those he perceived as a threat, giving the impression that he was a very callous person.

However, over time, we learned a different side of Obanai: he was very attached to Mitsuri. This is confirmed by the girl's recollection of the gift Obanai gave her.
