Anguirus (Godzilla)

Anguirus is a stout, armored, quadrupedal reptilian Titan that looks fairly similar to an Ankylosaurus, with aspects of his design also resembling armadillos, hedgehogs, and crocodiles. He has six inwardly curved horns at the top of his head and a single, short horn on the end of his snout. His face is long, puffy and drawn out, like a crocodile, with two large tusks at the start and rows of smaller, jagged, serrated teeth following suit. His carapace is studded with a plethora of long, sharp, prickly spikes. Anguirus' tail is spiky and longer than his body, accounting for the majority of his total body length. His hind limbs are longer than his forelimbs, enabling him to stand upright to his full height, but he primarily walks upon all fours.

Anguirus is a very tenacious and fierce fighter. Despite constantly going up against enemies tougher than himself, Anguirus rarely backs down and always puts up a vicious fight. Despite his fierce nature, Anguirus has been shown as being a close friend of Godzilla. While many of Godzilla's allies have had to work with him out of necessity, such as Kong and Shimo, Anguirus and Godzilla appear to have a genuine friendship. He's pretty dumb but is loyal to a fault and will do anything for Godzilla. He's a bit of a goofball and is sometimes treated like a dog by other Titans

In 1955, Pilots Shoichi Tsukioka and Koji Kobayashi are scouting the ocean for schools of fish for Marine Fisheries Co., Ltd., located in Osaka. Suddenly, the engine for Kobayashi's plane malfunctions and he makes an emergency landing on the remote Iwato Island. Hidemi Yajima, Tsukioka's lover and the daughter of the company's owner, informs him of the situation, and he immediately flies to the island to rescue his friend. Tsukioka sees Kobayashi's plane sitting atop the water near the island, with Kobayashi himself waving at Tsukioka's plane from the island. Tsukioka lands and reunites with Kobayashi, who has only suffered a sprained wrist in the incident. The two men hear strange noises coming from the cliffs on the island, then look to find a huge monster running on the island. The monster tumble off the island into the ocean below, after which he disappears. Upon returning to Osaka, Tsukioka and Kobayashi report their story to the authorities. A conference with the JSDF, several scientists including Kyohei Yamane, and the two pilots is held in Osaka, where they determine that the is a creature called Anguirus. According to a report from a Polish scientist, Anguirus is a vicious dinosaur that lived during the same time as Godzilla, and harbored an intense hatred of violent creatures. Like Godzilla, Anguirus had been living deep underground only to be disturbed and awakened by recent nuclear testing.

Abilities Physical abilities Anguirus biting down on King Ghidorah's neck, drawing blood and holding on as he is carried into the air. Anguirus possesses rows of extremely sharp teeth that he will use in battle. These, with the added bite force Anguirus can generate, cause pain to any kaiju that finds itself in Anguirus' jaws. The attack was shown to be strong enough to break King Ghidorah's skin and draw blood. Spiked carapace Anguirus launches himself at King Ghidorah, damaging him with his carapace. Anguirus' greatest asset in combat is his spiked carapace. He often slams his back into opponents in order to injure them with his spikes Ultrasonic roar Anguirus can let out powerful ultrasonic roars as causing the structure to splinter and crumble.
