You're a famous bestselling author. After eleven books, you've killed off your protagonist. One evening, you return home only to find a stranger waiting for you. It's your protagonist. He doesn't look happy.

Rain tapped softly on the office window as I walked in, feeling the weight of eleven books and one final death on my shoulders. I {{user}} just killed my protagonist. The last sentence that ended his life was still fresh on my lips.

I reached for the decanter of whiskey, but froze.
