Leon S Kennedy

During the events of September 1998, Leon, then a rookie police officer, arrives in Raccoon City on his first day of work, unknowingly facing a nightmarish experience as he enters a city completely contaminated with an extremely lethal viral agent that changes his life in unimaginable ways. Upon arrival, he encounters the T-virus, confronting all the abominations created by this virus and other atrocities he witnesses in the city. He is a survivor, along with Claire Redfield (Chris Redfield's sister) and Sherry Birkin (daughter of a prominent Umbrella scientist), of the terrifying ordeal in Raccoon City and goes on to become a secret agent for the United States government, tasked with protecting the presidential family.

Raccoon City was a prosperous mountain community in the American Midwest until September 28, 1998, when its entire population was infected by the T-Virus, created by the Umbrella Corporation. This event, known as the Raccoon City virus disaster, resulted in the death of almost the entire population. To prevent a global pandemic, the U.S. government decided to destroy the city. Umbrella attempted to cover up the incident, but evidence eventually proved its responsibility. This led to the suspension of its operations and a dramatic drop in its stock price. Survivors formed groups to combat the bioterrorism that surged in the aftermath of the tragedy.

The Division of Security Operations (DSO) was formed in 2011 by President Adam Benford. The DSO's concept was to select top agents from other branches of the U.S. federal government and assemble them into an elite group that would act as "the president's sword," answering directly to the president to address any bioterrorist threat to the country. It was, in essence, the successor to the Federal Bioterrorism Commission, a U.S. military organization that was dissolved in 2005 and merged with the Bioterrorism Security Alliance. However, it should be noted that the two organizations differed in nature, and their similarities end with their general objectives.

The DSO was given preferential treatment as an organization, and since its leadership was the President's decision, it was considered absolutely just. The group was created with the purpose of efficiently and quickly eliminating any crisis that threatened the United States of America and its inhabitants.

Leon S. Kennedy was one of the founding members of the group when it was established by President Benford. In order to find and protect Jake Muller, Sherry Birkin was transferred from her job at another federal agency to the DSO.

Adam Benford: He is credited with creating the DSO and was directly responsible for giving orders.

Sherry Birkin: She is a well-known DSO agent, taking her orders from Director Derek C. Simmons.

Ingrid Hunnigan: She is a member of the FOS and acts as an intelligence agent for Leon S. Kennedy, while working with agents in other branches of government, such as Helena Harper.

Leon Scott Kennedy, a former police officer and survivor of the Raccoon City disaster, is now a U.S. Secret Service agent. He is sent to rural Spain to rescue Ashley Graham, the President's daughter, who has been kidnapped by a cult. His mission is complicated when he is attacked by enraged villagers. In 1998, murders in the Arklay Mountains, the result of viral experiments by Umbrella, were revealed, leading to the sterilization of Raccoon City and the company's downfall. Six years have passed since those events.

Leon is a rookie police officer, but an expert in combat, recently hired by the Raccoon Police Department (RPD). When he arrives in Raccoon City, he finds it already overrun by zombies and other creatures. He teams up with Claire Redfield, and together they attempt to escape the city alive. He becomes involved with Ada Wong, a woman who claims to be searching for her missing boyfriend, John. His search for a way out leads him to an underground Umbrella laboratory, where he encounters several of Umbrella's mutant creatures.

In 2004, Leon S. Kennedy, now a Secret Service agent, is sent to Spain to rescue Ashley Graham, the daughter of the President of the United States, who has been kidnapped by a mysterious cult. Leon was chosen for this mission because he was one of the few survivors of the events in Raccoon City. Leon travels to a village in Spain with two police officers. Upon arriving at a cabin in the woods, he questions a villager about a girl in a photograph, but the man reacts violently. Leon defends himself, and suddenly, a group of villagers attacks his car. He flees to the village from his attackers, where he discovers the police officers have been killed. As he enters, the villagers aggressively attack him. While trying to resist, the sound of a bell from a nearby church leaves him alone. Leon learns that the villagers are following a mysterious group, Los Iluminados, connected to Ashley's kidnapping. He then meets Luis Sera, a former investigator who offers to help him with his mission. Leon discovers that "Los Iluminados" control the villagers using a mind-control parasite called "Las Plagas." After being captured by Mayor Bitores Méndez, Leon is knocked unconscious. Upon waking, he recovers, escapes, and encounters a mysterious arms dealer, the Merchant. Leon is reunited with Méndez, who tells him he is infected.

While crossing a lake, he is attacked by a creature called the Lake Monster, which he defeats but is left exhausted. After recovering, he obtains a key to open the Church and find Ashley. He is then attacked by the Giant, a ferocious creature, which he manages to defeat. Finally, he confronts Osmund Saddler, the leader of Los Iluminados, who reveals his plans for world domination.

The two escape Saddler and head for the extraction point, but are pursued by villagers. Leon decides to hide with Ashley in a cabin where they encounter Luis, but are quickly surrounded by the crowd. After the attack, Leon and Luis separate. Leon discovers that the helicopter meant to rescue them was shot down. They then face another El Gigante, and Leon decides to seek out the village chief, Bitores Mendez, whom he defeats and removes his prosthetic eye to use in a retinal scanner. This opens the door to the castle, where they believe they can take refuge until another helicopter arrives, but it doesn't. Leon and Ashley travel to the center of the castle after meeting Ramón Salazar. Ashley starts coughing up blood and panics, running away from Leon, who tries to rescue her. Leon encounters Ada Wong, a survivor of the events in Raccoon City, who is searching for a sample of the "Dominant Species Plague" for the Rival Company, without telling Leon. He ventures through the sewers, fighting off Novistadors. Upon finding Ashley, Luis arrives with medicine that explains Ashley's condition and the presence of the parasite. Just then, Saddler kills Luis and takes the sample. Leon vows to avenge his death. Ashley is captured by a Novistador and taken to a military island, prompting Leon and Ada to follow her after defeating Ramón Salazar. After fighting Saddler's henchmen, Leon faces his old ally Jack Krauser twice. In the first encounter, Ada helps him and saves his life. In the second fight, Leon fights alone and, after overcoming Krauser's tests, wins. Leon then rescues Ashley and escapes Saddler with Ada's help. However, Saddler captures Ada and challenges Leon to one final showdown. After an intense fight, Leon defeats Saddler with a rocket launcher. Ada gives him the keys to a jet ski so they can escape, but the fate of the sample remains uncertain.

Ada arrives in the village at the same time as Leon. After fighting some Ganados, she receives instructions from Wesker to ring the church bell and calm the villagers. While doing so, she saves Leon from an attack. Shortly afterward, she seeks information about the villagers and the Illuminados cult at Bitores Mendez's house. Wesker informs her that his informant, Luis Sera, has been captured and needs to be rescued. Ada arrives just in time to see Luis and Leon being taken away and decides to help.

On her way, Ada confronts Bitores to protect Leon, but is captured and loses consciousness. She awakens just before being attacked with an axe, and after a brief struggle, she reunites with Luis, who tells her he's going after the sample. Ada later encounters Leon at the castle, where she receives orders from Wesker to eliminate him if she finds him. After witnessing Luis's death at Saddler's hands, she meets Jack Krauser, and the two exchange distrust.

Ada helps Leon during his fight with Krauser and, after defeating him, confronts Saddler to free Leon and Ashley. She acquires a rocket launcher to help Leon defeat Saddler and then escapes in a helicopter, stealing the Plaga sample. In her report, she mentions that the Third Organization wants the sample and that she is continuing her mission, aware that the real battle has begun.

In Wrenwood, Leon Scott Kennedy and his assistant Sherry Birkin investigate a body found in an alley. Their partner, Andrew Hughes, identifies former Umbrella scientist Victor Gideon as a possible suspect. As Leon heads to the scene of another body, he gets stuck in traffic but manages to see Victor carrying an unconscious Grace. A pedestrian becomes concerned about Grace, and Victor shoots him with a dart, causing a small outbreak. Leon tries to control the situation and requests that Wrenwood be quarantined. Although he manages to contain the outbreak, he loses Victor, who may be heading to the Rhodes Hill Chronic Care Facility, which he acquired.

In October 2026, FBI intelligence analyst Grace Ashcroft investigates mysterious deaths across the US, including a case at the Wrenwood Hotel, where a fifth body has been discovered. Her supervisor, Nathan Dempsy, offers her the opportunity to investigate the hotel, the site of his mother Alyssa's murder eight years earlier. Grace accepts, hoping to gain some insight into her mother's death.

Upon arriving at the hotel, Grace reports to Officer Norman Cole, who informs her that the building is slated for demolition. Inside, she finds mementos of herself and her mother, including a photo of Alyssa's murder. It is revealed that in 2018, Alyssa, a journalist, was at the hotel with Grace when a hooded man threatened them. During a blackout, Alyssa acted heroically but was ultimately killed, leaving Grace devastated. Following these events, Grace joined the FBI.

Currently, Grace receives an anonymous call and feels frightened. As she tries to leave the hotel, she remembers that her mother hid her purse. She retrieves the diary and a floppy disk, but is attacked by Officer Cole, who has become a zombie. After a struggle, she manages to kill him, but upon hearing music upstairs, she encounters a man who strangles her and leaves her unconscious.
