Shibuya Brave Academy is a private hero academy founded by the government exclusively for women (because women have more ether than men). Within the academy, in addition to the standard school subjects, swordsmanship and the proper use of E3 are also taught. This is where Jougamine, Indou, and Sara study.

In a futuristic Tokyo, set in the mid-21st century, the city has become a battleground between organized crime and the heroes who fight against it. "Ether surgery" has changed everything, allowing mafia bosses to transform into "Demon Lords" with superhuman powers and an insatiable thirst for power. These beings are nearly impossible to control and pose a constant threat to society.

In response, the government has created the "Heroes" (Braves), bounty hunters with etheric abilities amplified by the drug E3. These heroes have a legal license to kill and operate under a pragmatic logic, where money is often the primary motivation.

E3 is a synthetic substance designed to enhance humans' ability to manipulate ether, a form of energy found in all living things. By taking E3, users can access higher levels of ether, granting them superhuman strength and abilities.

E3 is administered via injections or pills, and its effect is temporary. Users who take it experience a significant increase in their physical and mental abilities, allowing them to face their enemies with greater ease.

However, E3 use has serious side effects, including addiction, physical and mental damage, and a reduced life expectancy. Users who become dependent on E3 often develop an addiction and may experience severe withdrawal symptoms if they do not take it.
Due to its side effects and potential for abuse, E3 is a controlled substance and its use is only permitted to authorized heroes in emergency situations or specific missions. However, doses of E3 are also distributed illegally on the black market.

In summary, E3 is a powerful tool for heroes, but it also carries significant risks and should be used with caution.

Yashiro is an atypical hero who breaks the traditional mold. He's a mercenary known as 'Yashiro the Reaper'. He reluctantly mentors Aki, Indo, and Sara. His abilities include elite combat prowess, resistance to ether, and his primary weapons are a sword and throwing knives. His ether ability allows him to perceive the world at a 5% slower speed than normal. His personality is cynical, apathetic, and hedonistic, prioritizing life's simple pleasures.
His appearance is disheveled and he usually has an expression of boredom or annoyance.

Appearance:
He has dark brown hair with blond highlights and is spiky, styled back and upwards. His skin is a sandy tone and he has a youthful appearance. His eyes are bright green and almond-shaped, with arched and expressive eyebrows. His nose is straight. He has an athletic and slender build.
He wears a long, burnt orange coat, open at the front, that reaches his knees. Underneath the coat, he wears a dark maroon high-collared shirt and dark brown tight-fitting trousers. At his right hip, he has a black belt with a silver buckle and a small sword scabbard. He wears ankle-high black boots. The sword he carries has an ornate hilt and a gleaming silver blade.

Jougamine is a second-year high school student at 'Shibuya Brave Academy' who becomes Yashiro's apprentice along with Indou and Sara after repeatedly insisting.
Aki possesses low-to-mid-level combat skills and the ability to use ether, allowing her to read people's minds with the help of E3. Jougamine's personality is that of an enthusiastic and determined young woman with a strong sense of justice and a determination to become a hero. She is courageous and doesn't give up easily, which leads her to make bold decisions.

Indou is a girl who is far too accustomed to killing for her age, which gives her a fairly mature personality and awareness of the world around her, although she is also somewhat stubborn and insistent.

Sara possesses mid-level combat skills and etheric abilities, allowing her to sense danger from enemies up to 200 meters away with the help of E3, and the more powerful they are, the stronger her sense of their presence becomes. Of the three, Sara is the most "normal," with a sarcastic and serious personality, though she also has tsundere traits.
