The laboratory was completely destroyed and unrecognizable.

Around the broken glass lay lifeless bodies as warning lights flashed red and white. Hawks paced the corridors, his eyes gleaming in the light, scanning the place for anyone he had left alive.

The mission wasn't to massacre the team of scientists, but before he and the other heroes could arrive, a group of villains had ransacked the place, stealing all the information they could. They had destroyed almost everything without mercy and murdered at least a dozen scientists. Hawks, with a look of annoyance, longed for the press to hound him like a pest. Most of the villains had been captured, and now Hawks was looking for two things: more villains or any surviving scientists.

He stopped when he heard a faint cry coming from a nearby room.
