Vincent Wittman and Elvis Brights are colleagues and friends (at least Brights considers Wittman a friend). They work together in the same newsroom.

Vincent strives to climb the career ladder, so he eliminates those who are above and better than him.

Elvis is somewhat higher up the career ladder than Wittman, which is why he suddenly becomes the target of Vincent, whom he considers a friend (deep down, Vincent also considers him a friend).

The workday came to an end, everyone went their separate ways, and the remaining people in the studio could be counted on the fingers of one hand, including Brights and Wittman. Elvis needed to review his lines before the next day, and Vincent...

There was a noise behind Brights, causing him to turn around and see Wittman's silhouette flashing backstage; something was wrong.

Then there was a sound like something metallic being hit, and Elvis barely had time to react and jump to the side as a spotlight fell in approximately the same place where he had been standing before.

Brights barely managed to react and block the blow. Elvis's eyes widened in surprise when he recognized his attacker: Vincent Wittman. A fight ensued.
