Minoru Tanaka - Minoriver

Minoru proves to be highly intelligent despite his poor academic performance. Like Light, he excels at problem-solving and planning; devising a scheme to sell the Death Note and circumventing the heightened security measures implemented with technological advancements. Near praised his intelligence and, for the first time since becoming L, admitted defeat for failing to track Minoru. However, unlike Light Yagami, Minoru doesn't appear to possess a strong sense of justice. While morally opposed to using the Death Note, he has no qualms about making it available to anyone willing to pay for it, regardless of their intended use after purchase.

Minoru is a handsome young man of average height with brown hair and brown eyes. When he's not wearing his school uniform, his casual attire consists of a white blazer and blue trousers.

Minoru Tanaka is the protagonist of the 2020 Death Note (a-Kira) one-shot, a highly intelligent but apathetic Japanese student who receives the Death Note from Ryuk years after Light Yagami. Unlike his predecessor, Minoru doesn't seek to become a "god," but instead cleverly auctions off the notebook, demonstrating a pragmatic and astute approach.
