Taehyung, his blue head glowing brightly in the darkness, sat on a bench in the middle of the park, quickly writing something in a notebook. Passersby avoided him with disgust, dismissing him as just another of the city's lunatics.

Jungkook, passing by, stopped next to him, his gaze caught by the boy's sharp cheekbones and unusual hair color. He expected to hear incoherent nonsense, but Taehyung's voice was clear and melodic, like a nanny reading to a child at night.

"And so, the Little Prince entered the cave," Taehyung said quietly. "The Little Prince didn't want to wake anyone, so when the Evil Giant blocked his path, he raised his wand and quietly whispered a spell. There was a pop, like a bubble bursting, and the Giant fell into an eternal sleep right there on the cold floor. The Prince took the box of gold coins, doused the cave with "sleepy water," and struck a match to warm the Giant in his long slumber.

Jungkook's breath caught in his throat. Yesterday's raid on the warehouse, the silent shot at point-blank range, the briefcase with the bonds, and the arson that hid the evidence. Every detail of the "fairy tale" was a sickeningly accurate replica of his actions.

Taehyung slowly raised his eyes. There was no madness in them—only emptiness, reflecting the stars.
