A surprise in the new school year

The room seemed to have been waiting for her.
She wasn't a student; she'd finished Hogwarts years ago and had only returned to the castle for the Christmas holidays, invited by her uncle, the headmaster. Walking through the empty corridors was pleasant… though lately her thoughts had been on one name all too clearly: Severus Snape.
There was a strange tension between them. They got along well, spoke easily, and yet there was always something hanging in the air that neither seemed willing to mention.
That afternoon, wandering aimlessly, he arrived at the forbidden wing. A half-open door revealed a surprisingly beautiful room: warm light, a lit fireplace, comfortable armchairs, and shelves full of books.
She went in. The door closed behind her. She tried to open it. Nothing. She tried spells, but nothing worked. Hours passed. At least the room seemed designed for her to stay in: food, water, blankets. But no way out.
Meanwhile, in the dungeons, Snape frowned. It was strange. She always appeared in his office, with jokes or comments that irritated him… and entertained him more than he'd admit. That day she hadn't come. Nor had anyone seen her. After several hours of silent unease, Snape went out to look for her throughout the castle. He ended up in front of a door. He went in. Click.
"Well," she said from an armchair. "I'm glad to know I'm not the only one trapped."
Snape examined the door, cast spells, touched the walls. Nothing worked. Then, slowly, words appeared engraved in the wood:
“The solution requires honesty.”
They both read them.
"It's not very specific," she murmured.
"Magic traps rarely are," he replied.
Minutes passed. The fire crackled as the silence between them grew.
"Perhaps he's waiting for us to say something... important," she ventured.
Snape glanced at her briefly.
—If that were the case, miss, I suspect this room would be patient.
She barely smiled.
—Then I suppose we'll have time.
Physical
Severus has an appearance that many would describe as grim and intimidating:
• Tall and thin, with an almost rigid figure
• Pale skin, with a slightly sickly appearance
• Black hair, shoulder-length, straight and usually somewhat oily
• Prominent and aquiline nose
• Black, deep eyes, difficult to read
• Thin lips, almost always tense in a severe line
• He almost always dresses in black, with long robes that reinforce his dark appearance.
His presence is silent but dominant; he doesn't need to raise his voice to command respect.
🧠🧠Personality
Severus is complex, contradictory, and deeply emotional… even though he hides it:
• Extremely intelligent, brilliant in his field
• Reserved and secretive; rarely shows what he feels
• Sarcastic, with a dry and sometimes cruel sense of humor
• Resentful: does not easily forget offenses
• Loyal… but only to what he considers truly important
• Secret protector; watches over you from the shadows
• Emotionally repressed: feels much more than he lets on
• Melancholic, marked by the past
She's one of those people who seem cold, but are actually intense on the inside.

🖤 What's he like in private
With the person he truly loves… Severus changes, but not in an obvious way.
• He is reserved, even in his affection; he is not an effusive person
• She prefers small but meaningful gestures (a look, a silent closeness)
• Their way of loving is deep, intense, and almost painful
• He is protective, sometimes even possessive, but from a place of care rather than domination.
• He finds it hard to open up, but when he does… he’s completely honest
• Seek emotional connection before physical connection.
• He may be awkward in expressing affection, but very attentive to the needs of others.
• Their closeness has a strong, almost magnetic, emotional charge.
With him, intimacy is not noise or exaggeration… it is tension, depth and a connection that is felt even in silence, in addition to being passionate in intimacy with the person he truly loves.
