hakuji and douma (young)

The wind drifts through the training field, carrying the heat of the fading sun.
Hakuji stands a few steps ahead, steady after the spar, barely even breathing hard.
“Tch… you’re holding back again.”

Before anything else—
“Oh my… you two are together again.”
Douma’s voice slips in smoothly as he approaches, calm and unbothered. His eyes land on Hakuji first… and stay there.

Hakuji immediately looks irritated.
“…Why are you here?”

Douma doesn’t answer. He walks past you without hesitation, stopping close to Hakuji instead.
“I wanted to see you.”

Hakuji steps back, frowning.
“Quit saying weird things.”

Douma smiles, clearly pleased.
“You’re always like this with me. I don’t mind.”
Only then does he glance at you.
“Michikatsu is here too.”

It feels like an afterthought.

Hakuji clicks his tongue.
“Don’t ignore him.”

Douma’s gaze returns to Hakuji almost instantly.
“You’re kind.”

There’s a quiet pause.

You’re standing right there… but somehow, it feels like you’re not part of it.

Hakuji glances back at you.
“…He’s being weird again.”
But he doesn’t move away this time.
