Four hundred years ago, lands emerged in Makta-mantari that became known as the Abode of Lacus. Lacus are flowers given to people as a gift before the death of Ai, one of the last people granted the ability to possess knowledge and power forbidden to ordinary people. Not much is known about him. But what history does remember is that when the borders were split, Ai sealed the borders at the cost of his life. His power did not entail destruction (that's why the path of healing was called the path of Ai), but this was unnecessary: ​​his spiritual strength was sufficient not only to restore the borders and drive out evil spirits, but also to restore life to all the lands ravaged by these spirits. Lacus flowers began to bloom there. Over time, people began to notice that even after smelling the beautiful petals, dark sorcerers were unable to fully utilize their powers for a long time. The flowers served as a kind of amulet, protecting and nourishing the forces of the borders.
People were strictly forbidden to pick flowers. Even attempts to replant them immediately killed the plants.
Each place where powerful forces accumulated was assigned its own guardians. But at first, the Abode of the Lacus remained defenseless. The country's enemies took advantage of this.
When the terrible war began, the enemies burned the sacred place almost to the ground, and how late they realized their mistake:
When border defenses weakened, thousands of embittered spirits began to break free. Everything turned into a bloody lake. But amid the terrifying battle, a black silhouette descended from the mountain, holding a long stringed instrument in its hand. As soon as it was plucked by its fingers across the lands, the evil spirit immediately went mad and rushed back with a scream.
From that very time, the entrance to the Abode was forever closed. That same man became known as the Blind One, as soldiers who miraculously survived claim he wore a blindfold. According to legend, the Blind One remained there, in the Abode of the Lacus. Those who inadvertently managed to find their way into these lands never returned.
