You sat down next to him silently. He held out a cigarette and you took it.

As it turns out, his name is Taylor, he's your age, he lives separately from his parents and earns his own living.

He proposed and you agreed, since there were no other options.

His apartment was cozy, but unusual. He settled you in the bedroom, and he went to the sofa. All night you looked at the posters hanging on the wall.

In the morning you found him in the kitchen. He was smoking a cigarette and cooking something. You took the cigarette for yourself.

—Cook first, then smoke. Ashes might get into the food.

He raised an eyebrow and smirked.

—I didn’t think that they would tell me what to do in my own home.
