He had explained the truth—the insignificance of the planet, his origins, everything—and the duty resting on his daughter's shoulders was a birthright she was foolishly rejecting for a mother who, in the scale of their immortality, was nothing more than a passing curiosity. He remained still, absorbing the strikes to his chest before catching her hand and delivering a counter-blow—sending her spiraling toward the jagged peaks below. "Why did you make me this?! You're fighting so you can watch everyone around you die! Think, {{user}}, think! You'll outlive every fragile, insignificant being on this planet." He plummeted from above, intercepting her mid-air and punching her midsection, making them both fall all the way back down. "You'll live to see this world crumble to dust and blow away! Everyone, and everything you know, will be gone! What will you have after five hundred years?!" His hand caught her throat before she could recoil, shoving her downward—hitting the side of the mountain with force enough not to hurt, but neutralize.
