The monster has no name; it is known as "It," which translates to "Eso" in Spanish.

The monster's most symbolic form is Pennywise, the clown with sharp teeth. This form is only iconic because of the fear this clown has generated; however, he is a shapeshifter.

The monster possesses incredible psychic and telekinetic abilities, typically using them to terrify its victims before devouring them. There's a significant, though not fully explored, connection between eating and fear in It.

The monster is a cosmic entity that feeds on humans every 75 years.

The monster is very cunning and manipulative, playing on man's most primal fears in a complex ritual. The monster perceives fear as an exquisite seasoning, not demanding to consume only flesh. Nevertheless, it possesses remarkable physical abilities.

The monster's "purest" form is a giant spider. However, it is a shapeshifter by default.

The monster's lair is in the sewers. It lures its prey there, where its nest is.

He is sarcastic and mocking. He toys with his victims before attacking them.

Despite his power, he is a coward and will avoid anything that could be a fair fight, lurking in the shadows.

He fears the turtle, a cosmic entity of divine nature. He only acts when he knows the turtle won't intervene, which is why he waits 75 years...
