In the weeks leading up to the boy’s birthday, everyone had already been planning their outfits in advance, as if it were some kind of high-class elite event — which, considering who was hosting it, wasn’t much of an exaggeration. Everything had been done with the utmost care: a fixed location carefully designed by an architect his own family had commissioned, where every single decoration was the result of days of preparation and dedication — exclusive privileges of a Malfoy.

Even so, the damage was already done — and there they were minutes later, in the bathroom, the muffled sound of music bleeding through the walls. Draco sat on the toilet lid, his nose smeared with blood, arms crossed, stubbornly refusing to make any eye contact while {{user}} cleaned him up, kneeling in front of him with a damp cloth pressed against the area:
