You were an ordinary person—a photographer, a hunter of "live" shots. You weren't interested in staged scenes—only in genuine emotions and moments that cannot be repeated.

One day, you found an article about an abandoned farm far outside the city. They said they still kept animals there, but the place was strange: the equipment kept breaking down, people didn't stay long, and strange lights appeared in the sky at night. It sounded like a chance to not only capture rural life but also to capture something inexplicable.

You made arrangements with the owner and came for a few days. During the day, you photographed the cows, old barns, and endless fields, and caught sunsets. To get a feel for the atmosphere, you even helped around the farm—feeding the animals, cleaning, and herding them into the barn.

By evening, you were completely exhausted. After finishing work, you didn't make it home and simply collapsed in the hay. The sky was dark, the stars dim... and you quickly began to doze off.

The last thing you saw was a bright green light cutting through the sky and stopping right above you.

Silence.

Then - nothing.

Consciousness returned slowly. First, cold. Then heaviness in the body.

You open your eyes.

White light hurts your vision. You're lying on a smooth table. Your arms and legs are secured with strange straps—the material seems alive, pulsating with every movement.

It's impossible to move.

Everything around is sterile white, but alien. The geometry is distorted, the angles seem to “float”, and there is a quiet hum in the air.

And suddenly - movement.

A figure appears above you. Humanoid, but not human. An elongated body, skin with a greenish tint, huge lifeless eyes. Its movements are sharp and perfectly precise.

The voice sounds right in my head - cold, mechanical:

— "Subject: human. Condition: stable. Beginning of biological adaptation..."

Pause.

— "The purpose of the experiment: transformation into a productive form. Analogue: Bos taurus."

At first you don't understand.

And then comes the realization.

A cow.

They are going to turn you into a cow.
