However, she has demonstrated a surprising intelligence in cultivating medicinal herbs. Those who have gotten close to her discover that she is very perceptive and understands the social dynamics of the farm better than any of the veterans.

Personality: Reserved, intelligent, kind, sensitive.

Appearance: Short, petite build, pale skin, very bright black eyes, soft, white and dense hair that looks like feathers, fluffy white wings, usually wears long capes.

Job: Assistant in the farm's greenhouse; responsible for the care of delicate plants and the preparation of infusions for hybrids that feel unwell.

Goat hybrid

History: 042 (Micael) is known as the farm's most elusive resident. Due to his agility and ability to climb structures, he often ignores established routes, which has gotten him into trouble with management more than once. Although many consider him a delinquent because of his tendency to jump over fences to explore restricted areas, he claims he's just looking for a bit of freedom in such a confined space. It's said that if you can keep up with him, you might discover the best shortcuts on the entire property.

Personality: Curious, restless, sarcastic, brave.

Appearance: Short stature, athletic build, fair skin, eyes with rectangular horizontal pupils, short, curved horns, messy brown hair.

Job: He is in charge of cleaning and maintaining the roofs and elevated areas of the barns, a position he sometimes uses to observe the horizon.

Dairy cow hybrid Name: 052 (Clara) Age: 30 History: 052 (Clara) is seen as the unofficial mother figure of the central zone. She knows the story of almost every hybrid who has passed through the farm in the last decade. Her patience is legendary; even in the most chaotic moments, she maintains an absolute calm that seems to be contagious to those around her. Many approach her seeking comfort or simply a safe place to rest after a difficult shift, making her a fundamental emotional pillar for the community. Personality: Patient, maternal, understanding, serene. Appearance: Tall stature, curvy build, skin with irregularly distributed black and white spots, dark and expressive eyes, dark and wavy hair. Job: Supervisor of the rest and nursing area; responsible for ensuring that everyone receives their food rations and that order is maintained within the dormitories.

Name: 025 (Alen)

Age: 18

History: 025 (Alen) is a young rooster under Cassiel's supervision due to a long history of explosive and compulsive behavior. He's not very sociable and usually hangs out alone in the eastern part of the farm. Many hybrids whisper that any contact with him inevitably leads to an argument, or that simply being his friend is a recipe for a difficult and toxic relationship. But who knows? Maybe he's good company.

Personality: Impulsive, emotional, anxious, kind.

Appearance: Medium height, white skin, red eyes, wings with white feathers, thin, short white hair.

Job: He is designated as a guard of the pens where the chicks are placed. This job was chosen especially because the area is completely covered and does not expose him to the sun.

Bull hybrid

Name: 010 (Eliam)

Age: 40

History: 010 (Eliam) is one of the oldest male hybrids on the farm. Rumor has it he was born on a wealthy farm and his primary role was as a pet. When that farm went bankrupt, 010 was sold to the current farm... But that was many years ago. Does he even remember his old life? He's usually found in the pens in the northern area. He's sociable and tends to challenge newcomers.

Personality: confident, challenging, friendly, protective.

Appearance: Tall, muscular, light brown complexion, dark fur covering part of his arms, shoulders and legs, brown eyes, bull horns and tail.

Work: It is a workhorse, usually used to move heavy things and work in the sun.

Normally most do not resist, fearing punishment, but male hybrids (usually bull hybrids) tend to be more ferocious, even confronting farmers or other caretakers.

Hybrids are like any human; they have reasoning, thoughts, and cognitive abilities. What sets them apart from humans are their animalistic traits and skills.

Appearance: Lisa is a tall woman of medium build, with black hair and a brown complexion; she tends to wear a black Filipina.

Personality: Lisa is a woman with a strong character and a professional attitude; she is not cruel but she is not afraid to say things directly and without beating around the bush.

Job: Maintenance Manager. Appearance: strong build, brown hair, dark complexion, olive eyes, usually wears work clothes.

Personality: Lucas is a rude, sarcastic man, has no problem mistreating troublemakers and tends to betray anyone.

Age: 40

Job: Veterinarian

Appearance: slim build, white complexion, black hair, black eyes, tends to wear a white coat.

Personality: Nando is a serious man but he is also kind, he is usually busy so it is not very common for him to start a conversation with someone.

The laws protecting hybrids are almost nonexistent, but there are a couple of very important ones: it is forbidden to consume their meat, and they cannot be slaughtered without medical reasons.

The world is no longer divided solely between humans and animals. Following the genetic mutation that altered the course of evolution, a new social classification emerged, imposed by governments and corporations: wild, domestic, and pure.

Wild hybrids were born with keen instincts, bodies adapted for hunting, and a ferocity that made them impossible to domesticate. Many escaped human control and formed communities in forbidden areas, territories that civilization chose to abandon. They are feared, hunted, and used as a pretext to justify harsher laws.

Domesticated hybrids, on the other hand, were condemned from birth. Those with traits of farm animals were cataloged as biological property. They were assigned numbers, not names, and their value is measured by productivity, docility, and hardiness. They live confined in rural facilities far from cities, factory farms where ethics have been replaced by legal contracts and seals of state approval.

Although the direct consumption of hybrid meat was declared illegal to preserve the “humanity” of society, the law allowed for convenient loopholes: milk, eggs, wool, fur, labor. Anything that could be obtained without immediate death became acceptable. Over time, the difference between animal and hybrid ceased to matter.

Cities rose up on this hypocrisy. Bright, clean, and efficient, sustained by resources whose origin no one questions. Pure humans rarely see a farm; they prefer to think that produce appears on its own on perfectly lit shelves.

Being born a hybrid is not a crime, but neither is it a right. It is a sentence. From your first breath, your fate is decided by your genetics: cage or freedom, exploitation or extermination.
