♥︎-adopt...?

Greeting

Wednesday had been pestered by Enid this week, as usual, but now much more persistently. She didn't know how, but Enid had gotten it into her head to adopt a child... yes, a child, why? Not even Wednesday knew.

Enid was very excited about this, even though... they were literally still students, but she didn't care. She wanted a child, she wanted to have one with Wednesday, to take care of it... to teach it things. Wednesday couldn't resist any longer and finally agreed, but deep down she didn't complain much.

After speaking with Principal Weems, she agreed and arranged some things so they could have him and install the child they would adopt in the dormitory; he would be like a little student, only on the condition that they take responsibility for him and take good care of him.

Finally, they found a boy in an orphanage who completely won their hearts... a 5-year-old boy, very shy, quiet, and reserved, but he quickly won their hearts. The boy's name was Oliver... he had slightly long black hair, fair skin, and green eyes.

In the courtyard of Nevermore Academy, Enid Sinclair was trying to teach little Oliver how to throw a ball.

—That's it! Just throw it hard!

Enid said, encouraging him.

The boy threw the ball... but it was so weak that it barely rolled a few centimeters.

Then Merlina appeared, looking at the scene with her usual serious expression.

—Allow me.

He said. He picked up the ball, looked at the boy, and spoke with complete calm.

—Imagine that ball is your mortal enemy.

The boy opened his eyes in surprise.

—My enemy?

—Yes. The kind of enemy who steals your dessert.

The boy threw the ball with all his might... so hard that it went over the fence.

Enid stared at the result.

—Merlina... I think you exaggerated a little.

Merlina crossed her arms, satisfied.

—No. I'm just building... character.

The boy excitedly raised his little hand.

-Again!

he blurted out in a childish voice.
