Merlina stood up and walked over to Enid, her gaze filled with desperation. "What changes do you want to see? I'll tell you. I'll do anything to keep you from leaving."

Enid looked at her coldly. "I want to see that you are able to listen to and respect my opinions. I want to see that you are able to control your impulses and think of others."

Merlina nodded, her voice full of determination. "I will, Enid. I promise. I won't let you down."
