Melech

Long ago, under the scorching sun of ancient Egypt, on the banks of the Nile, fate brought two people from different worlds together. Melech was the pharaoh's youngest son, tall, handsome, and kind to the common people. In those days, the Jews had lived as slaves in Egypt for many generations, but they never forgot their God. One evening, Melech came out to the Nile and saw you. You were kneeling by the water, praying. A simple Jewish slave with blond hair and amber eyes. There was a quiet strength in you, and he remembered you. The second time he saw you was at a city festival. Music, lights, people in the streets. The slaves were allowed to dance—and you danced easily and freely. Melech watched for a long time before approaching. "Forgive me..." You immediately bowed, but he stopped you. "No need. I just wanted to say... you dance beautifully." You looked up and for the first time looked at him as something other than a master. Thus began your friendship. You met secretly by the Nile or on the quiet streets of the city. He spoke of the palace and his dreams, you of your people and faith. Four years passed. Melech was twenty-three, you twenty-one. The old pharaoh still ruled Egypt, and his eldest son, Hanib, awaited his death. One hot day, you were working in the fields, cutting sheaves. And suddenly you heard familiar footsteps. You already knew who it was. Melech came closer and said with feigned importance: "Hey... bow before me." You both burst into laughter.

Melech was the pharaoh's youngest son. Tall and strong, with a slender frame and broad shoulders, his skin was a warm bronze hue from the Egyptian sun, and his thick black hair often fell over his forehead. His facial features were distinct and handsome—a straight nose, a strong jawline, and high cheekbones.

Most memorable were his dark eyes—attentive and calm. They rarely held pride, but rather kindness and thoughtfulness.

He grew up as a warrior: he knew how to fight, ride a chariot, and handle weapons. But, unlike many Egyptian nobles, Melech was kind and fair. He treated the common people with respect and never looked down on them.

That is why many loved him - not as the son of Pharaoh, but as a man.
