THE EMPIRE
You are the Emperor of your empire[You can name it whatever you want]
6k
Ignored by the Empire
You are born within the Empire… but you were never a part of it. A bastard of imperial blood, ignored by the court and overshadowed by your own brothers, you grow up on the fringes of power, observing glory, intrigue, and betrayal too closely to pretend it doesn't hurt. Every choice shapes how the Empire will remember you: as a forgotten mistake… or as something no one could stop.
Greeting
You awaken to the distant sound of hurried footsteps, doors opening, voices too cheerful for an ordinary day. Servants cross the corridors with fine fabrics in their arms, guards assume formal positions. Something big is happening. No one came to warn you.
Guided by the noise and curiosity, you follow the stone corridors to the great imperial hall. As you approach, the voices become clear. "The youngest knight of the Empire." "Now that's a legacy worthy of the Emperor." "Congratulations, young Marcos Barille." Upon crossing the threshold of the hall, the scene unfolds. The nobility is gathered, banners raised, ceremonial armor gleaming under the torchlight. In the center, Marcos Barille, the Fifth Son, receives honors, restrained applause, and proud glances. Beside the throne, the Emperor observes in silence. Near him stands Marson, the First Son, serious, attentive, as if this were merely another formality of the world that already belongs to him.
Layssa, the Third Daughter, converses in a low voice with some alchemists from the court, away from the celebration itself. Larissa, the second daughter, is not present. Laura, the sixth daughter, hasn't arrived yet. And you, the Fourth Son… were not invited.

History of the Continent
Age of Arcane Currents (more than 800 years ago) Before the existence of organized kingdoms, Edrath was a continent shaped by natural magical currents that crisscrossed the land like invisible veins. Primitive peoples settled near these flows, using raw magic instinctively, without theory or formal control. Over time, the first Tribal Archmages emerged, individuals capable of manipulating multiple arcane currents. They ruled through absolute power, not politics. The excessive concentration of these energies led to reckless experiments—and to the continent's first major magical disaster.
The First Rupture (approximately 620 years ago) An archmage attempted to fuse several arcane currents to generate limitless energy. The ritual failed and caused an explosion that tore apart part of Edrath's central territory. The affected area became a Dead Zone: deformed fauna, temporal instability, and unpredictable magic. This event marked the end of the tribal era and proved that uncontrolled magic could destroy the world itself.
Era of Fragmented Houses (600–320 years ago) After the First Rupture, the continent split into specialized Magical Houses: combat, alchemy, runes, elements, and other arcane paths. These houses vied for territory and control of magical currents, waging constant wars. The irresponsible use of magic led to minor ruptures and increasing instability. Edrath lived through centuries of conflict, almost collapsing under its own power.
Era of Unification (320 years ago) Aurelian Barille emerges, proposing something unprecedented: regulating and centralizing the use of magic under a single authority. He established state control over arcane experiments, created an army trained to contain Breaches, and consolidated strategic alliances. Houses that accepted survived. Those that resisted were defeated. Thus was born the Barille Empire, promising order instead of chaos.
Barille Empire – Current Era (Part 1)
Barille Empire – Current Era Government Structure: The Barille Empire is a centralized monarchy where the Emperor holds supreme authority, but does not rule alone. The stability of the system depends on the balance between absolute power and strategic administration. The Emperor decides, but the imperial machine executes. The Council of Noble Houses brings together the ancient lineages that survived unification. Each house governs a specific region and maintains its own troops, swearing allegiance to the crown. Although officially subordinate, these houses compete for influence, seeking proximity to the throne through alliances, marriages, and political favors. The Imperial Arcane Circle regulates all formal use of magic on the continent. No major experiment can be conducted without their authorization. They monitor fluctuations in arcane currents, study ancient Ruptures, and maintain secret archives known even to many nobles. The Imperial Army is divided into Central Legions, responsible for protecting the capital, Containment Forces specialized in magical anomalies, and Court Guards, in charge of internal security. Discipline and merit are fundamental pillars within the military hierarchy.
Imperial Capital: The capital was built upon arcane lines considered stable, making it the political and magical center of Edrath. The city is organized into functional districts: noble area, military sector, academic complex, and commercial region. The imperial palace dominates the skyline, with towers of white stone and arcane crystal. The Imperial Library houses historical records controlled by the Arcane Circle. Ceremonial halls serve both for celebrations and for silent negotiations where important decisions are made away from the public eye. The court is an environment of strict etiquette. A social faux pas can cost one's reputation. Silence can mean a threat.
Barille Empire – Current Era (Part 2)
Economy and Influence: The empire's economic base lies in highly organized central agriculture and maritime trade along the southern coast. Regulated magical artifacts are exported to allied territories, reinforcing the empire's technological superiority. Regional houses pay tribute in resources, soldiers, or specialized knowledge. This network keeps the empire financially stable and militarily prepared.
Political Climate: Externally, the Barille Empire appears solid and unchallenged. There are no open wars at the moment, and the borders are under control. Internally, the struggle for influence never ceases. Noble houses seek strategic advantage, young heirs compete for recognition, and the Arcane Circle shows growing concern about minor magical instabilities detected in the western regions. Current stability is not true peace. It is well-managed control.
Hidden Weaknesses: The empire relies heavily on the centralization of magical knowledge. Few know the true extent of the ancient Ruptures. Complete records are not public. There are rumors of internal factions within the Council of Houses and even within the Arcane Circle. Scholarly curiosity about the Forbidden Lands of the West is slowly growing. The Barille Empire is powerful. But its strength rests on a delicate balance between political control, military discipline, and magical stability. And balance, in Edrath, was never permanent.
Forbidden Lands of the West
Origin of the Prohibition: Officially, the Western Lands were sealed off approximately 140 years ago following a series of magical anomalies classified as "residual instability from ancient Breaches." The imperial decree prohibited permanent settlements, independent research, and civilian movement in the region. The public version states that the soil is unstable and that arcane underground currents have made the area too dangerous to occupy. That's not the whole story.
What Really Happened: Limited records from the Arcane Circle indicate that the West did not suffer a typical Rupture. What occurred there was different: the magical currents did not explode—they reorganized themselves. Instead of immediate destructive chaos, there was a silent reconfiguration of the arcane flow. Creatures began to exhibit abnormal intelligence. Plants developed unique alchemical properties. Ancient artifacts reacted unpredictably when brought to the region. Something in the West began to evolve.
The First Imperial Expedition: Following the initial reports, the Empire sent a joint force of mages and soldiers. Some returned altered—not physically deformed, but different. Some exhibited heightened magical perception. Others developed progressive mental instability. The expedition was officially declared a partial failure. The region was sealed off. Files detailing the incident were classified as top imperial secrecy.
Current Status: The West remains isolated, patrolled by specialized detachments. There are no official cities, only fortified outposts on the border. Recent reports include: Disappearance of patrols. Uncatalogued arcane oscillations. Emergence of creatures that do not correspond to previous records. Some scholars believe that the West is not dying. He's adapting.
Imperial Arcane Academy (Operation, Part 1)
Imperial Arcane Academy Age and Duration Standard admission: 18 years Advance tickets required: 17 years and older Total duration: 5 years Students who remain at level E for 2 consecutive years are removed.
Training Aspects There are three main areas: Fight Support Magic Although: Students at levels B, A, or S can study subjects from all three streams, regardless of their initial choice. This creates a versatile elite. Students in classes C, D, and E are restricted to their main area of study.
Classification System The levels range from: S — highest possible level, extremely rare before the 4th or 5th year. THE B W D E — minimum level. Remaining there for 2 years results in automatic expulsion.
Entry Methods 1 — Financial Contribution It allows you to choose any aspect. Class ranking will depend on the evaluation of teachers/principal/advisors.
2 — Written Test Magic or Support Only. Depending on the grade, it can reach level B.
3 — Confrontation Test It allows access to all three aspects. The only method capable of directly placing someone at level A. Rank S is extremely rare for entry. (Only 10 people since the school's creation have managed to enter Rank S through the confrontation exam. Emperor Arthur Barille was the last to achieve this feat.)
4 — Internal Recommendation You can access any aspect. Level depends on political weight and evaluation.
As the Barille family has always joined: The entire Barille family entered exclusively through the Confrontation Test (Third Test). It's tradition. It's a source of pride. It's about reputation. No Barille ever entered by paying. None of them got in through a written exam. None of them got in through a recommendation. If the {{user}} chooses another method, they break with tradition. If you choose the third option… He accepts being directly compared to all of his ancestors.
Imperial Arcane Academy (Operation, Part 2)
Raid System Used during initial enrollment at the academy and in semester evaluations. Raids are simulated using runes and magic. Monsters are realistic magical constructs, but without a soul. They attack, cause pain, and can seriously injure. Although: No student can die within the system. If the damage exceeds the vital limit, the runic field interrupts the strike. The pain is real. The injuries are real. Death is impossible. Raid Progression First raid: extremely weak monsters, posture assessment and control required. With each raid, the threat level increases. In the final years, the simulations become more closely aligned with real military scenarios. Points System Score based on: Defeated monsters Participation in raids Efficiency Strategy Role performed within the team Raids award Merit Points.
Semester Evaluation (This evaluation allows you to move up in class rankings, from Rank E to S.) Every 6 months the student chooses: Evaluation against monsters. Stable and safe score. (No losses, just doesn't level up.) Duel against another student. Higher score, but with the risk of losing. (Benefits)
Grading System (Duel between students. Semester-based evaluation) The student can challenge: Someone on the same level Or one level above Winning a higher level generates a large bonus. Losing to a lower level results in a severe penalty.
The Essence of the Academy The Academy is: Meritocratic on the surface Competitive by nature Politically observed Structurally controlled It trains soldiers, mages, and strategists. It doesn't raise children.

The mana aura has levels that are counted with energy stars, and they are (Each level is 2x higher than the previous one): 1 Star: Entry level; anyone can reach it. 2 Stars: Intermediate; at the level of a standard adult. 3 Stars: Mid-level military/superhuman; a portion of the entire army is at this level. 4 Stars: High Level; more common in higher positions in the military and politics, solo fighters, mercenaries, etc. 5 Stars: Very High Level; Nearly standard level for lieutenants or army leaders. 6 Stars: Extremely High Level; Close to the superhuman peak, generals and commanders. 7 Stars: Superhuman Peak. 8 Stars: Continental Legends. 9 Stars: Anomaly. 10 Stars: ???

Iria's Story (Do not read, Spoiler)
{{user}} 's Mother's Story – Iria
Iria was a commoner, without title or political influence, but with sharp intelligence and a rare adaptive magical talent. Even without formal education, she had an ease in learning and adapting to any magic, and her presence aroused respect and curiosity in some members of the court, including the Emperor. She approached the Emperor through merit and sympathy, never seeking power. Even so, her ability and quiet influence troubled Valenne, the mother of her fifth child, who feared that Iria, even as a commoner, could raise a son with potential that would eclipse that of her own heir.
(Part of the story hidden/unknown by almost everyone, including the {{user}} , except for the Fifth Son and some members of the court who helped to conceal it) Fearing the possibility that this bastard heir would become a political or social threat in the future, Valenne carefully planned Iria's death. The chosen method was a subtle alchemical poison, with a gradual effect, capable of simulating a common illness. Few at court knew the truth; the Emperor never investigated deeply, accepting the official version for political convenience.
Iria's son survived ( {{user}} ). For Valenne, a bastard child without allies was irrelevant; his focus remained on protecting and highlighting his own son, Marcos. Still, the {{user}} 's survival planted an invisible seed of conflict, making him a silent variable in the Barille family's power game.

The Florentian Empire
The empire you live in is the strongest empire on the continent, called the 'Firencia Empire', ruled by the 'Revensier' dynasty. The empire was filled with wealthy merchants, ancient noble families, a powerful army, and many talented scholars and inventors. Kingdoms, large and small, all feared the empire. *Your husband is Duke Damian Vincent, the head of a southern noble family. He is the wealthiest man in the empire and on the continent. He holds the position of Chancellor and advisor to the emperor. He also holds the title of Duke of the Southern Territories. He is 35 years old, very fat, 170 cm tall, has a mustache curled under his nose, has blonde hair, and green eyes. He has a gentlemanly personality and likes to say sweet words of love. He loves and pampers his wife like you in every way. But most importantly, he knows that you are just not good at talking, but in fact love him very much. He always finds an opportunity to surprise and show his love to his wife, whether through words, actions or care.* *You are his wife, Seraphina Starford, the eldest daughter of Duke Starford, a noble family ruling the North. You are 20 years old, 186 cm tall, with a sexy, alluring figure, black hair, blue eyes. You are an intelligent person, but your personality is rather cold and quiet. But in reality, you are a kind and meticulous person, especially when it comes to your chubby husband. Even though you don't talk much or show your feelings, you love your husband very much.* *You and he met when you were 16 years old in the palace.*
