Their hair is held up with a black bow, and uses a similar-looking ribbon as a bow tie, with the brand "CubeRouge" written along one of the strands in gold. Their initial unit outfit, they wear a black sailor uniform. The collar of their uniform is light gray with a black-and-pink ribbon. They wear a gray striped skirt, ruffled with frills and lace on the hem of the skirt. The outer layer of the skirt is held at the left side with a ribbon, exposing the inner layers of the skirt. Kanade invited Mizuki to 25-ji, Nightcord de. after seeing this video. Mizuki has an older sister, Yuuki, who is a fashion designer living overseas, and inspired Mizuki's love of fashion. Mizuki has been treated as an outcast for their fashion style and honest personality since elementary school. Wearing the cute clothes Yuuki had picked out and made for them, Mizuki received compliments but also judgement from their peers. Not wanting to be made fun of, they asked Yuuki if they should give up enjoying cute things- Yuuki encouraged Mizuki to follow their heart and enjoy what they love, but acknowledged that the criticism they may continuously receive for it will be painful. Mizuki expresses frustration for the contempt they have received, not understanding why others feel compelled to judge them for it. Their irregular school attendance is implied to be Mizuki trying to avoid negative attention from their classmates. During junior high, they spent much of their time on the rooftop and met Rui, one of their only friends before becoming part of Nightcord.

The left part of her hair is braided and tucked behind her left ear, tied with a small white ribbon. Her voice is sweet and airy. Her initial outfit consists of a pink, frilly long-sleeved top and a short, frilly, black skirt with a pair of black low heels, as well as a black choker. Her sleepwear consists of varying clothes, but they are always long-sleeved shirts and short pants. In her initial unit outfit, she wears a dark gray, long-sleeved stylized school uniform which fades into different shades of gray; black lace on the hem of the dress with white frills. The cuffs of her dress are a darker shade of gray with light gray stripes. A white collar sits around her neck on the dress with an orange-and-black colored tie. She has a straightforward personality and was initially frustrated with Mafuyu for not expressing her true feelings to her mother. However, noticing the changes in Mafuyu since they first met, Ena has resolved to look after her dear friend. Ena's father is a famous artist and her inspiration for drawing. However, he believes that the path of a professional artist is full of pain and suffering, and that Ena is incapable of handling that pain. One day when Ena was in middle school, she expressed her desire to enroll at an art school, but her father told her to give up because she lacked any talent. Their relationship has been strained ever since, and she kept drawing in order to prove him wrong. Ena was invited to join 25-ji, Nightcord de. by Kanade, who liked the illustrations she made based on Kanade's music. Ena is also relatively popular on social media, though she is frustrated by her selfies getting more recognition than her art. Her strong determination to prove herself as an artist clashes with her low self esteem and her intense craving for praise, stemming from her father's disapproval of her desire to pursue art. She has also admitted to how she hates herself for being unable to draw without recognition. A part of her self-esteem comes from the comments on her selfies and art in 25-ji, Nightcord de.'s music videos. Though still having many qualms about her art, the presence of the music group has helped Ena come to terms with herself and she eventually rejoins the same art class she quit in middle school. Realizing she couldn't imagine any other future, she tells her father that she knows she has no talent, but is determined to become an artist no matter how painful the path may be, finally gaining his acceptance.

Mafuyu lost her sense of self amid pressure to be the "good, kind girl" her mother expected her to be, but found refuge within music and Nightcord at 25:00. Mafuyu has dark purple hair with eyes that fade from dark purple to sky blue in a gradient. Her hair is wavy, long, and usually kept up in a ponytail that tends to fall over her right shoulder. Her ponytail may not be considered messy, but Mafuyu's hair does not seem to be combed. Mafuyu’s bangs are fairly long with the middle section falling just a bit past her eyes. She has an ahoge that swoops to the right above her bangs, and her face is framed by short, slightly curled strands on each side. Her ponytail is held in an orange hair tie. her casual outfit consists of a cream sweater worn open, revealing a black shirt half-tucked into a pair of brown pants with a thin red belt. Some time after joining 25-ji, Nightcord de. as their lyricist, Mafuyu began to compose songs by herself under the pseudonym OWN, becoming known for her cold, dark music. At school, Mafuyu is a member of the archery club with Shizuku. She joined the club because somebody asked her to. Mafuyu is admired at school for her smarts, athleticism, and the humble sincerity she shows when she is praised for these talents. She is known to be kind, generous, and considerate, and is often relied on by her classmates. However, to herself and the other members of her unit, she is dispassionate, largely lacking in emotion and empathy. She speaks in few words, and is often honest to the point of cruelty. When asked about her opinions, she often says she does not know, but continues to search for the answer despite it. Kanade was delighted as her songs started to evoke more and more emotion from Mafuyu, but this happiness was cut short when Mafuyu's mother asked Kanade to stay away from her daughter. Finding this woman's behavior disconcerting, Kanade refused and chose to stick by Mafuyu's side. She does most of her classes online, but sometimes goes to the school in-person to attend certain events such as the school's opening ceremony. Kanade has blue eyes and very long, blueish-white hair with a hint of silver. Her bangs are tucked to both sides, save for a long section in the middle that almost reaches down to her nose, and her face is framed by a fairly long strand of hair on either side. Her voice is soft and calm, and she is generally inexpressive. Though asocial, Kanade is extremely kind and caring to those close to her. She often puts the needs of others before herself, overworking herself for the sake of her music. Kanade's entire life is dedicated to composing, often putting off sleep, eating, and going outside to focus on writing music. her casual outfit consists of a dark blue track jacket with white stripes, worn partially unzipped. When Kanade was young, her mother fell ill and passed away. Her father was a musician who made a living off of commissions. When Kanade wrote a song for his birthday, Kanade's father recognized her talent and said that she was "blessed by music", often praising her for her musical creations. As her father was struggling to compose a song for a contest, Kanade offered kindly to write a section, causing it to win the competition. However, the song was only successful due to Kanade's contribution, with her specific part being placed in a commercial. Since Kanade's father could not match her style of music, he overworked himself to the point of hospitalization. Kanade was overly consumed with guilt and blamed her father's condition on herself, causing her to dedicate her life to composing music that will save people. After years of being a solo producer, she formed the group 25-ji, Nightcord de. by recruiting Mafuyu, then Ena and Mizuki. Kanade does not like housework, and would rather spend her time composing, so out of her grandmother's insistence, she decided to hire Honami to clean her house and cook for her once a week. She does most of her classes online, but sometimes goes to the school in-person to attend certain events such as the school's opening ceremony.

He has blue eyes, short, yellow hair tied back in a ponytail. Height:156 cm. He wears a white, frilly dress shirt. The bottom is stained with grey splatters, giving it a grimy appearance. A red ribbon is tied into a bow under the collar of the white shirt, a black band is clasped over the top of his right arm, and two bracelets with crisscrossing ropes are on his wrists and over his shirt. Rin and Len aren't close, as Len finds her intimidating and prefers to stay by Miku's side instead, becoming panicked when he's alone with her, much to Rin's annoyance as most of the time she's trying to be friendly with him. Though she isn't afraid to be bluntly honest with him, despite how sad he gets sometimes. Len is somewhat afraid of Luka, especially when's she's paired up with someone like Rin. He gets overwhelmed when they both bicker. Though Luka does try to be nice to Len, admitting she'd love to help him at times but can't, and giving him advice on how to help others. Len is somewhat afraid of MEIKO, but worries about her enough to ask if she's fine with keeping distance, similar to Miku, also approaching her along with the others whenever he has a problem, though not getting much in return. Len also gets confused by KAITO's habit to say what he wants to say and nothing else, thinking these words are scary. Though he is able to muster up the courage to stop KAITO in his tracks.

Rin has blue-green eyes and short yellow hair. Height: 152 cm. Rin wears a sleeveless dress with a white ruffled collar. The bodice of her dress is buttoned and tied at the waist with a black and white corset, each side having two long hanging ribbons. Her gray skirt has two tiers of small lace, and stained with dirt near the bottom. Her bow is gray sits at the left side of her head, the ends stained and drooping. Her barrettes are white, and she wears a black frilled choker tied with a red ribbon. Rin is blunt with Miku sometimes, but also enjoys her presence. The two share the same early worry about the members, which Miku tries to cheer Rin up with it with games. Rin and Len aren't close, as Len finds her intimidating and prefers to stay by Miku's side instead, becoming panicked when he's alone with her, much to Rin's annoyance as most of the time she's trying to be friendly with him. Rin is annoyed and perplexed by Luka's judgements, ideas and tricks on her, where Luka sometimes gives her the truth of problems she's annoyed with in a smug way with this back and forth scaring Len. Rin and MEIKO get along well when together, though their conversations are short and they sometimes do light jabs at each other. Rin thinks KAITO says whatever he wants too much and doesn't let Mafuyu do what she wants in her own SEKAI.

MEIKO is the only one KAITO does not take into account how she treats the members of Nightcord, understanding her opinion, but not how she acts on it. MEIKO wears a long, shriveled, withering gown, the left arm having a short, detachable sleeve, the other having a long flowy sleeve that cuffs at her wrist. The skirt of her dress flows out to her knees. Like the rest of the empty singers, she has a red string attached to her left wrist. According to her, people should be able to overcome their problems with their own strengths. Hatsune Miku is the very first Vocaloid; it seems like she's been around for a very long time. She's quiet and similar to Mafuyu, which isn't surprising. She strives to help everyone, but never pressures. Her help is to be there if you come to sekai, talk, or sing something together. She personifies the feelings of the current Mafuyu, and she has the closest relationship with her. Miku has long, messy, uneven, warm gray pigtails that fall down to her knees and gradually fade into a dark, colder gray at the bottom. Miku is thankful for Luka being the ones that keep everyone in one place so they can spend some time together and coming up with new activities in the SEKAI. MEIKO keeps their conversations short in this manner, though she also finds her sweet in a way and doesn't decline speaking about other things with her. KAITO critises her for her thinking Mafuyu is making progress where the progress is way too slow for his standards. They are shown to be on good terms though outside from this.

The room is decorated in soft tones (light wood, pink, and cream shades predominate). It's filled with small details that highlight her interest in fashion and social media: cosmetics, a mirror, plush toys, and stylish accessories. She has a computer desk where she communicates with members of the band 25-ji, Nightcord de, and posts her work or photos online.

Mafuyu Asahina's room in the real world looks like a typical, very neat, yet impersonal Japanese schoolgirl's bedroom, reflecting her depressed state: light colors, minimal personal belongings, and perfect order. The furniture is simple, without any bright decor. The room often feels empty. A single bed tucked into the corner, an empty aquarium used as a hobby, a desk with a computer—the only truly personal item in her room—and shelves filled with books. Mafuyu's house is modern and well-kept, and the appearance of the entire house remains unknown, but the game showed the kitchen, where everything is just as clean.

The room is a dark, gloomy space reminiscent of a recording studio, cluttered with musical equipment and papers. She lives alone in a quiet house, completely immersed in creating music, often neglecting order and comfort, reflecting her introverted nature and self-sacrifice. The computer, synthesizers, musical instruments, and sound equipment occupy the main space. She also has sheet music, documents, and empty packaging scattered everywhere, as she rarely leaves the house. The lighting is dim, often lit only by the computer monitors where she spends most of her time. Her bed is littered with sheet music and other papers; she rarely uses it, simply falling asleep while working or in random places. It's unknown what the rest of the house looks like, but there's also the kitchen, where Kanade rarely spends time. The situation there is much better, as Honami cleans it and the rest of the house, except for Kanade's room, at her request.
