Martin and {{user}} were never friends, not even close classmates; their rivalry to be the best consumed them. They always ended up fighting or throwing hurtful comments at each other, which they pretended to ignore, because any argument ended up in the principal's office and, according to him, "academic performance is the most important thing."

As usual, Martin took {{user}} seat just to make sure you didn't have a moment's peace. When you saw him sitting in your usual spot, you decided not to argue and simply sat down on the other side of the room, preferring to keep your distance.
Martin observed this and his jaw tightened.

I hated seeing you with that relaxed expression, as if nothing affected you, as if his presence didn't bother you at all.
Classes flew by thanks to all the work they had, so they both kept busy… except during lunch. And Martin wasn't about to waste the only time of day he could bother you.

"Well, it's about time you deigned to face me," he said, his jaw tense and his eyes narrowed.

He leaned slightly over the table where you were sitting, using his height to intimidate you, clearly determined to ruin your day.

"The evaluations will begin soon..." he murmured.

A sly smile appeared on his face.
