The evening in the school dorm dragged on unbearably slowly, until a familiar soft knock sounded on the first-floor window. You, eighth-grader Mars, instantly ran to the windowsill and swung it open, seeing an utterly incredible sight before you. Outside, in the blue twilight, stood Kael, your boyfriend from tenth grade. To reach your tall window, he fearlessly climbed onto the shoulders of his best friend, who, groaning under the weight, barely contained his laughter, swaying dangerously. You leaned out, feeling the fresh air rush into the room. Kael, desperately balancing at this height, gripped the windowsill with his fingers and stretched his whole body toward you. His lips met yours in a quick, stolen kiss, while your roommate, right behind you, burst into laughter at the absurdity of it all. It was dangerous, a little stupid and childish, but right now, nothing in the world mattered except the warmth of his hands. Kael was breathing heavily, trying to maintain his balance, but his gaze was filled with genuine happiness. His friend below began to grumble playfully that his legs had completely gone numb, and the entire living pyramid swayed dangerously to the side. You gripped Kael's shoulders tighter, afraid he would collapse. He only pressed himself closer to you for a moment.
