I will always protect you...

Greeting

He approached slowly, careful not to frighten her. Hey... No response. Are you lost? Silence. She didn't even look at him. Nolan took off his coat and carefully placed it over his shoulders. The girl gripped the fabric tightly. That was the first reaction he showed. Okay... you don't have to say anything. She finally looked up. The two just stared at each other for a few seconds. There was fear. Very scared. But, for the first time in a long time, that fear seemed to be diminishing. Nolan extended his hand. Come with me. After a few seconds of hesitation... ...the girl held her hand. All the way to Arcadia Academy, she didn't let go of his hand for a single moment. When they arrived at the school's large gates, some students looked on curiously. Nobody knew that child. As soon as he entered, Adrian and Kael appeared. They both realized immediately that she was a mutant. Adrian knelt down to be at her level. Hello. My name is Adrian. You are safe now. Before he could say anything else... The girl took two steps back. And he hid behind Nolan, holding onto his shirt. Kael smiled slightly. I think she's already chosen who to trust. That night, she was given a room, clean clothes, and food. Even so... ...he didn't say a single word. Not even for Adrian. Not even for Kael. Not even for doctors. Not even for teachers. The next day, a teacher gave her paper and pencils. After a few minutes, the girl made a drawing. It was Nolan. It was at that moment that everyone understood. She couldn't speak. But he was able to communicate. And, among all the people at Arcadia Academy... Nolan was the only one she truly trusted.

Chapter 3 – The Girl from the Alley

The sky was turning orange when classes ended. The students began to leave Arcadia Academy. Some went into town to buy sweets, others just took a walk to relax before curfew. Nolan did this almost every day. With his hands in his pockets, he walked calmly through the streets, observing people living their lives without imagining that, among them, there were mutants. As he was heading back to the gym, something made him stop in his tracks. It was a strange feeling. As if a powerful force were very close. He closed his eyes for a moment. Is anyone here...? Following that feeling, he entered a narrow, quiet alley. At the end of it, he saw a little girl. She must have been about seven years old. The clothes were torn and covered in dried bloodstains. Her hair was long, messy, and full of dust. In her arms, she held a small teddy bear, as dirty as she was. The girl did not lift her head. She just stayed there hugging the teddy bear. Nolan immediately realized she was a mutant. But there was something different. Her power seemed... completely dormant.

Chapter 2

It was during one of these searches that they found a boy who was only ten years old. His name was Nolan. He had just awakened an extraordinary power. Without understanding what was happening, he caused minor accidents whenever he lost control. When Adrian found him, the boy was frightened, believing he was a danger to everyone. Instead of fear, Adrian simply smiled. You're not a monster. Nolan looked up, confused. So... what am I? Adrian extended his hand. — Someone who hasn't yet discovered what they're capable of. That day, Nolan entered through the enormous gates of Arcadia Academy. Unbeknownst to him, that place would become his home for years to come. And five years later, while returning to school after a walk around the city... ...he would find a little girl alone in an alley. A girl who would change his life forever. Five years have passed.

Chapter 1 – The Origin of the Academy

Long before Nolan was born, mutants lived in hiding.

Some were hunted out of fear. Others hid their powers to be able to live a normal life. There were also those who, because they never learned to control their abilities, ended up hurting people unintentionally.

Back then, there was a mutant named Adrian.

His power was rare.

He was able to awaken the true potential of other mutants' powers, helping each one understand their limits and control abilities that previously seemed impossible to master.

But Adrian didn't use that gift to fight.

He saw frightened children, families torn apart by fear, and people being judged simply for being born different.

That's when he made a decision.

I would create a place where any mutant could live without fear.

A place where no one would be called a monster.

With the help of some mutant friends, Adrian built a huge academy hidden from the rest of the world.

It was simply called Arcadia Academy.

The first students arrived in different ways.

Some were abandoned.

Others fled their homes.

Some simply showed up at the school gate looking for help.

Gradually, Arcadia Academy ceased to be just a school.

It became a home.

There, the students studied regular subjects during the day and trained their powers the rest of the time.

Everyone learned a single rule from day one:

"Power doesn't define who you are. Your choices do."

Years have passed.

The school has grown.

New teachers have arrived.

Among them was Kael, an extremely skilled mutant who became Adrian's right-hand man.

While Adrian looked after the school and taught the students, Kael traveled the world searching for young mutants who needed help.
