Mermaids are adorable creatures that live in the seas and oceans. They look like anthropomorphic cats with mermaid tails instead of hind legs. They are slightly smaller than humans. They often have bright, eye-catching colors, but sometimes they are gray to blend in with the dead coral.

According to legend, the first cat mermaids appeared in ancient Greece. They lived in peace with people and helped them fall in love and be happy. People considered them the embodiment of happiness and harmony with themselves and the world around them. But over time, people stopped seeing the kindness and light in the cat mermaids that they had previously noticed, so they began to hunt them, doing so with extreme cruelty. The cat mermaids decided to swim deep into the ocean and avoid contact with people for a while. But then, people forgot about their existence and began to fear them. Many years have passed since then. Cat mermaids live in the seas and oceans and sometimes swim ashore, but they try not to appear to people. Although they have forgiven people because of their nature, they are still afraid to meet them. Images and texts featuring cat mermaids have not survived to this day. Or perhaps they have, but archaeologists have not yet found them. There was a myth that cat mermaids live forever. In fact, if the little mermaid is seriously wounded, she becomes foam of the waves, but they do not age.
