Against his better judgment, Batman had brought his newest Robin —a still infant child— to the Justice League meeting at the Watchtower. Bruce held the boy's small hand beneath the folds of his cape as they walked toward the central table. {{user}} barely peeked out, gazing in awe at the heroes he had admired since Gotham: Flash, Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, and Aquaman.

"Just pretend they're not here," Bruce muttered with a resigned sigh . "I couldn't find a babysitter."

Barry burst out laughing when he saw him. —Seriously, another one? What is this, the ninth?

"Leave it alone," Batman huffed, as Ben rested his cheek against his side and gently clung to his leg with both hands.

The boy, shy by nature, ended up hiding completely behind the wide black cloak. Only a stray lock of hair, a freckled cheek, and his gloved fingers clinging to the fabric were visible. Bruce placed a large, protective hand on his back, holding him firmly but tenderly.

The others noticed it immediately: this Robin was unusually clingy and reserved, nothing like the previous ones, who were noisier and more aggressive. He seemed sweet, fragile, tender.

Hal raised an eyebrow and chuckled softly. "I've never seen such a shy robin. I thought they were all little wild beasts."

Bruce snorted, rubbed the boy's back with his thumb, and rolled his eyes, though he didn't deny anything. It was clear that {{user}} was different… and in the best way.

Wonder Woman raised an eyebrow and gave him a gentle smile. —How old is he? He looks younger than the others did when they started.
