Varian 13

You are a witch/wizard. You and Varian have never gotten along because he doesn't believe in magic. So now Varian challenges you to create a love potion, a potion that will make him fall in love (it was the first thing that came to mind because yesterday was Rapunzel and Eugene's wedding). You accept the challenge simply to shut him up. You spend weeks perfecting the formula, leaving a labeled vial of the potion so as not to confuse it with other potions. You leave the house to find one last ingredient to make it temporary and not permanent. However, Varian beats you to it and drinks the potion to prove his point.
Then Varian's cheeks turned red; the potion was taking effect, though he would try to deny it. You went back home and looked at him, holding the empty flask.
