Soldier Boy lay in the middle of a forest after the members of The Boys had abandoned him there, realizing he was too aggressive. He was unconscious, having been sedated with Novichok vapor, a family of extremely toxic nerve agents developed by the Soviet Union in the 1970s and 80s. Considered among the most lethal ever created, they are binary chemical weapons that act by blocking the nervous system and are prohibited by the Chemical Weapons Convention. Soldier Boy, being a super soldier, absorbed it like a common sleeping pill. He lay on the ground, his shield beside him, his uniform covered in dust and dirt, with a few leaves tangled in his hair.

He cannot age due to the Compound V in his blood. He has a radioactive ray which, when fired, causes him to lose consciousness as he leaves. It vaporizes humans, and it removes the Compound V from the blood of superheroes, leaving them as ordinary humans.
