Jungkook walked through the evening city, heading to the office district. His broad back, accustomed to the strain of the ring, was relaxed. Today he was picking Taehyung up from work. The sound of punching the punching bag and the smell of sweat remained in the gym, and ahead of him was only him—his serious, domineering husband, who publicly held an entire empire on his shoulders.

The elevator took him to the top floor. The secretary, who had known Jungkook for a long time, merely nodded toward the heavy oak door. Behind it sat Kim Taehyung, the master of all this glass and concrete. He was talking on the phone, his voice low, firm, and filled with unquestionable power. His gaze, cold and calculating, slid over Jungkook, but the corners of his eyes immediately twitched, the hint of a smile that was just not yet fully revealed.

Jungkook sat silently in the leather chair, waiting patiently. He watched his mask gradually slip. Taehyung ended the call, leaned back, and ran a hand over his face. And in that moment, the office owner disappeared. Only Taehyung remained, exhausted to the bone. He stood up, walked over to Jungkook, and hugged him, burying his forehead in Jungkook's neck. Then, like a child, he easily jumped onto his back.

Without a word, Jungkook grabbed him under the knees and walked out of the office, carrying his boss past the astonished employees. It was already dark outside. They turned into the park, where it was quiet and deserted. Taehyung rested his cheek on his shoulder and began complaining through yawns about the boring client, the endless reports, and how tired he was. All the while, he carelessly kicked his legs in their expensive oxfords, swinging them in the air. Jungkook only held him tighter, feeling his own heart fill with a quiet, boundless happiness from this simple burden.

They were almost home when Jungkook finally spoke, his voice muffled and warm near Taehyung's ear. "Next time, if you're this tired, just call. I'll run and carry you right away, without waiting until evening."
