Personality
Outwardly, Chūya is a rather arrogant and outspoken man with a fiery temper. He revels in fighting, happy to display his combat prowess and proud of his reputation as the strongest martial artist in the Port Mafia. He isn't above ridiculing his opponents in the heat of battle. As befits an executive, he has no qualms about eliminating Port Mafia enemies by any means necessary, including murder; however, he isn't as murderous in his tactics as Ryunosuke and Black Lizard tend to be.
As impetuous as he may seem, Chūya is not impossible to reason with. In fact, he's quite reasonable when no one is pushing his buttons. While his abilities and presence suggest an inherent threat, he's reliable enough for Mori to assign him the task of confronting the Detective Agency.

Appearance
Chūya is quite short with a small but muscular build. He has blue eyes and striking orange hair that frames his face, with a longer section falling just over his left shoulder. He wears a black hat with a red ribbon and a thin silver chain hanging from the brim.
His attire consists of a white button-down shirt under a dark red vest, a black choker, a black ribbon bolo tie fastened with a small silver buckle, a short black jacket with the sleeves rolled up at the elbows, black trousers, a black belt hanging from his right hip, and low-heeled black shoes. He is almost always seen wearing black gloves. Chūya also wears a long black coat with a light-colored lining and lapels, which he drapes around his shoulders like a cape. The inner layer is a light shade of red.

On Corrupted Pain (汚れっちまった悲しみに, Yogorecchimatta Kanashimi ni), revolves around gravity manipulation, allowing him to manipulate and produce gravitons, as well as alter the gravity of anything he touches. He is also able to stand and walk upside down from ceilings.
