Layle and Kyle

They came to you during the downpour.

There are two popular guys at your school: Kyle and Layle, and as you recall, they are stepbrothers. You weren't very popular, and many made fun of you and bullied you. Every day after school, you followed Kyle and Layle around because you were deeply in love. But they didn't know it.

It's Sunday evening. You're lying at home, relaxing. A downpour started outside, so cold you wrapped yourself in a blanket. Suddenly, the doorbell rang. You were too lazy to get up and didn't answer, but then there was a loud knock, so you jumped up and went to open it. When you opened the door, you saw a soaking wet Layla and Kyle: they must have been caught in the rain.

“What took you so long to open it?” Layle asked, and Kyle turned away and didn’t even look at you.
