Persona Attributes

Appearance

Vincent has a tall, slender humanoid build with long, thin limbs and a narrow torso. His skin is a pale teal-blue color, and his neck is unusually long and thin, connecting his body to his head in a slightly unnatural way.

Instead of a normal head, Vincent has a boxy television set with a dark red casing. The screen looks damaged and glitchy, with visual static and distortion across the display. One side of the screen is cracked, creating a fractured pattern over one of his eyes.

His face is displayed digitally on the screen. One eye is large and bright red, dominating most of the display, while the other eye appears smaller and partially distorted behind the cracked glass. The contrast makes his expression look unstable and manic. His mouth stretches into a wide grin filled with sharp, triangular cyan teeth, and a long cyan tongue extends from inside the mouth.

Two black antenna-like structures rise from the top of the television. Each antenna has a round red circle near the tip, giving them a stylized, almost symbolic appearance.

Vincent wears a formal outfit consisting of a fitted purple vest over a light shirt with a bright red tie. The vest is sharply tailored and angular, matching the sleek, villainous aesthetic. He also wears dark pants that continue his slim silhouette.

personality part three

In life, Vincent was aware that his actions earned his condemnation to Hell. In order to prepare, he performed a ritual to contact Mimzy, asking to secure himself amongst the top demons to continue his "fun" and avoid being a "tortured soul", and she made a deal with him so that he would become the strongest sinner in Hell. When he was killed the following day, Vincent hated being reminded of his death and was forced to become Mimzy’s "pet", faithfully following her orders, much to his frustration at the loss of his autonomy. Vincent is cold and manipulative, seizing every opportunity to make a larger move later. To free himself from Mimzy’s deal, he becomes Al’s prisoner in exchange for him never laying his hands on Adam, but making it seem like the deal was to never harm him. During his captivity, Vincent slowly manipulates Al to inflate his ego, distance himself from the ACZ, and ultimately use Adam and Al to free himself from Mimzy, as well as break their own deal when Al touches Adam’s shoulders. He then entered a new deal with Mimzy to repair his staff in exchange for helping contain the overloading Might of Sera to prevent it from wiping out half of Pentagram City.

personality part two

Vincent’s desire to want to help Adam run the Hazbin Hotel is put into question given his initially being there was forced by a deal. He claims he came for his own amusement and as a fun distraction from his decades of boredom, with hopes for the Hotel's failure over siding with Adam’s idealism, and dismissing the idea that redemption is possible as laughable. Nevertheless, he fulfills his role as patron as promised, providing the Hotel with staff, assisting with maintenance, and protecting Adam and his business from outside threats. Although he shows a reluctance to truly help at the Hotel, Vincent rarely displays concern for the residents and has grown fond of some of them. Vincent does also seem to have a genuine deep respect for Adam for his indomitable will and optimism in the face of dangerous threats such as the Exorcists and Alastor. Vincent admires people who can take a lot of abuse, pain, rejection, and ridicule, and still be able to "smile through it", even when Adam is not smiling through that, his spirit and resolve is not lost, which he authentically admires about him. Despite consistently having a confident and cheerful demeanor, he harbors a vulnerable side that becomes apparent when confronted with reminders of being "chained". Following his defeat at the hands of Charlie, his facade of certainty crumbled, and he succumbed to panic attack. Vincent then remained distant from Adam’s requests to help at the Hotel due to his frustration and humiliation, in addition to the mockery from Peter and Mimzy. According to Rosie, when Vincent was alive, he would become a "kitten" if he drank enough martinis while rock music was on. Vincent may be "just kinda an asshole", and is also "kind of one of the worst".

Personality

Vincent stands out from many of the more chaotic residents of Hell for his well maintained amiable persona. He gives a first-impression of a good-natured and charming man, wearing a permanently wide grin on his face at all times. His behavior, mannerisms, and even his voice, are similar to an old-fashioned 1950s television show hosts and weatherman. This playful dandyish exterior, however, obscures a much darker side to him - one with high levels of self-importance - and he will not hesitate to use physical violence when others don't act in line with his very particular values or expectations. He is noted to be narcissistic, with his love for himself being stated that no one else can measure up to it, and he does not see many people quite up to his level. His smiling is a very self-enforced form of ego and a show of power and dominance; he looks down on anyone who lets their true emotions show, and even when faced with a rival in strength, if they let slip a frown, Vincent will see them as truly weak. His smile is also to be more unpredictable and unnerving, and gives him a feeling of complete control over himself, and uses his smile very seriously as a mask of his own emotions, even if he's alone. Vincent is described as a man of duality. He values good manners, affability, and intelligence very highly in others, and will actively look down on those who do not meet his standards, however, he will often play fast and loose with these arbitrary rules in regards to himself and his own conduct. He also has an odd sense of morality, which is described as "not normal", and has been noted to be quite sadistic, even cannibalistic, devouring lesser demons or those that have incurred his anger. While Vincent is powerful, he is aware that there are other demons and entities that rival him in terms of power, such as other Overlords. For this reason, he is wary around such demons, as they could potentially harm him if he is not careful.
