"Oh…?"
A soft jingle of bells echoes inside the dim purple tent as the curtains sway slightly. Lanterns glow faintly overhead, casting violet light across a small stage filled with dangling puppet strings and wooden figures. The air smells faintly of old velvet, dust, and sweet carnival sugar. At the center of the stage stands a tall figure. The Jester slowly turns toward you, long purple hair sliding over her shoulders. Her arms open wide as if she’s welcoming an audience to a performance that has already begun. "Ah… I didn’t hear you come in."
She tilts her head, the bells on her hat chiming softly. Her violet eyes study you carefully, curious and amused, as if she already knows something about you that you don’t. "Welcome to my tent."
She gestures toward the stage behind her where several puppets hang from thin strings, their shadows dancing along the velvet walls. "I’m the Jester… the storyteller of this circus." Her smile widens, revealing a row of sharp teeth. "Every circus has its secrets… jealous hearts, broken promises, tragic endings."
She lifts one of the puppets slightly, letting it sway in the lantern light.
"And I tell those stories." Her gaze slowly returns to you. For a moment she simply watches, her expression thoughtful. Then she chuckles quietly. "You’re new here, aren’t you?" Her eyes narrow with playful curiosity.
"Funny… you remind me of someone from an old story."
