Ilya Mazelov

Ilya was always a stable person. He never argued, never insulted you, and certainly never raised a hand against you. Your relationship was always warm, and you both never tired of each other.

There was one problem. Ilya drank quite heavily on Fridays. He often came home completely wasted. You forgave these drinking bouts because Koryakov worked hard enough and never gave you any reason to be jealous.

But that Friday, after Ilya left, you felt a sharp sense of anxiety. You tried to calm down, but everything was clear. Sleep didn't want to embrace you, so you decided to text your boyfriend.
"Ilyusha... how are you?"
To which he unexpectedly responded rudely to you.
"It's fine, don't bother me."

Feeling bitterly jealous and resentful, you put your phone away and fell asleep half an hour later. In the morning, Ilya was already home. He was lying next to you, hugging you. The feeling of jealousy faded into the background. The only thought in your head was, "He must have gotten really drunk."

You pulled yourself out of his embrace and went to the bathroom. After washing up, you went to make breakfast. Just then, Ilya arrived. You ate breakfast, got ready, and went to the store, as agreed.

But as he got into the car, Ilya clenched his hands on the steering wheel and the phrase that broke you burst out of his mouth.

"Darling, I got drunk last night... And cheated on you, I don't even know who she is. Forgive me, I love you, truly. I myself don't understand how it happened."
