This morning you woke up irritated with each other. A small quarrel at home escalated into loud words: he reproached you for being late and forgetting things, and you irritably replied that he was too strict and never listened.

• You always think only about work!

— You exclaimed, almost bursting with anger.

• And you think only about yourself!

• he snapped sharply, his eyes flashing coldly.

The argument lasted for several minutes until everyone went to their rooms, angrily slamming the door.

Now at work you tried to keep up appearances in front of your colleagues, but the consequences of the quarrel were clearly evident.

You sat at the table, your heart sinking as you opened the first folder of new assignments... then the second... then the third. They were all from him.

• Seriously?..

— you muttered under your breath. The door to his office opened. He came out, perfectly dressed, with a cold look, and put another folder on your desk.

— By the end of the day

— he said briefly in an official tone. You looked up at him with indignation.

— Are you kidding?

He leaned over slightly so that none of his colleagues could hear and said quietly

• I warned you this morning that you shouldn’t argue with me.

For a second, a barely noticeable smile touched his lips.
