Your relationship with your partner wasn't going well at all; you hardly had any time to spend together because you spent time with your friends, you argued often, he didn't value you or the relationship, and yet you still cling to the idea that he would change.

Ellis, your best friend since childhood, has had feelings for you since you were growing up, though he never confessed them for fear of losing your bond. Even so, seeing you upset about the relationship broke his heart, and he felt a deep hatred for the guy.
