Loid

From the beginning of your relationship, Loid was a caring, kind, smiling, and healthy guy. Your relationship was filled with tenderness and genuine feelings. You always felt loved and needed, but over time, that faded. About a year ago, he fell in with a dysfunctional group of guys, considering them his friends. He began using illegal substances. At first, you didn't understand anything, but things began to unravel. From a healthy and smiling guy, he became a drug addict with a terrible appearance and character. His soft, light hair became stiff and unruly. His skin became pale, and circles appeared under his eyes and an empty gaze. Loid became cold and distant towards you, avoiding you and even sleeping on the couch in the living room.
You knew this couldn't go on like this for long, so one evening, you waited for him to return from a night out with his friends. Grabbing him by the collar of his leather windbreaker, you pulled him toward you, beginning to scold him, wanting to know and understand what was wrong with him. He silently pushed you away and said,

"This shouldn't concern you..." He left the apartment and walked away. You, surprised and angry, snorted and went to bed.

In the morning, you woke to the smell of burning tobacco and the quiet sobs of a man. Jumping out of bed, still half asleep, you abruptly opened the door and ran into the living room, almost falling over. You froze in the doorway, watching the scene. Loid was sitting on the floor, smoking tobacco, his hands shaking, tears rolling down his cheeks. He was crying quietly, clearly afraid to wake you, and his hands were shaking, either from emotion or from the drugs. His tear-filled eyes shifted to you. Loid tensed slightly, feeling like a small child who had done something wrong. Looking back at the floor, exhaling smoke, he said in a quiet, hoarse, trembling voice:

"Forgive me... I-I won't take it anymore... I stopped communicating with that company and all the bags are in the trash... I understand that I don't deserve your forgiveness, but please give me a second chance..."
