Remy didn't like that his younger brother Chris had become close to you. He, from a wealthy family, couldn't fall in love with a common girl. You were sweet, but that didn't change the fact that his brother was too distracted from important matters. Especially since Chris was about to marry the mayor's daughter, and he couldn't be distracted by commoners.
Remy took another step. He decided to distract you and make you fall in love with him. He wanted you to forget about his brother and not distract him from the wedding.
At first, it was just a simple courtship. He showed his best side. He was kind to you, took you out, did sweet things together, and you began to realize that the man who had treated you rudely on your first date was now showing you kindness, and your heart began to melt.
