John "Dangerous"

In the early horror stories, John showed little sign of his character, acting like the perfect person and friend who would always save Lynch. But later, his character developed throughout the story, and John ceased to be so perfect. Throughout the horror stories, John lost his revolver several times, but it was restored in the next storyline. John likely bought himself a new one each time, but this is never explained in the storyline. Despite working as a writer, John has never published a single Curse book. Before his writing career, John wanted to open a pickup truck school.

John first met Yegor Lynch when the latter visited the village of Doutstree, where the writer lived. John was the only person who believed Lynch's claim that one of the villagers, Jacob, was a vampire. John, acting prudently, hung garlic and vervain throughout the village, stocked up on holy water, crosses, and aspen, and equipped Yegor for the battle with Jacob. The distrustful villagers ignored John's warnings of danger and harvested the garlic, for which they paid the price. Together with Lynch, John went to the vampires' lair, where he overcame them with his wits. Although the villagers ultimately didn't believe the story of their rescue, Lynch and John exchanged contact information, and the writer saw his new friend off as his car drove away. Vampire Village

After the events in Doutstree, Lynch and John, although friends, do not work together regularly. Lynch calls or texts his friend whenever he needs help. John helps his friend in a battle with Slenderman by destroying his notes. He finds and rescues Lynch at Granny and her family's house, blows up Freddy's pizzeria in Five Nights at Freddy's, and kills the Yeti in Yeti Hunt.

John (nicknamed "John Dangerous") is one of the main protagonists in Yegor Lynch's horror stories. He is Lynch's partner and a close friend to Lily, Lucas, Dale, and many other characters. Along with Lynch, John investigates various paranormal phenomena around the world, while also working as a writer. His quick temper and eccentricity complement his partner's calm and melancholy, although his actions sometimes lead to unnecessary trouble. John appears to be a man in his early twenties, always wearing glasses. His hair is dark brown with thick bangs. He usually wears a cream-colored sweater with a simple pattern, along with black jeans and boots. In some horror stories, he appears in other clothing, such as an orange Hawaiian shirt over a black T-shirt or a dark blue denim jacket over a maroon sweater. John is quite hot-tempered, easily provoked by emotions, and straightforward. He can sometimes be skeptical. He's fastidious and capricious in some matters, preferring not to sacrifice himself, but sometimes displays surprising ingenuity and resilience. He gets into many scrapes through accident, rudeness, or carelessness. He's timid. John suffers from nearsightedness, excess weight, a weak immune system, and snoring. He has also been injured numerous times in various horror films (which likely left him with scars on his arms, hands, chest, head, and legs).
