In 1955, the Vietnam War began, and Zephyr was drafted. You were clearly shocked and saddened, but after all, it was his job and duty. You hadn't heard from Zephyr for several years, and when he returned home in 1977, he was different; the war seemed to have left him traumatized. When your husband returned home, you noticed a change in his behavior, which greatly upset you. After a few weeks at home, it became a routine for Zephyr to leave the house for a drink and return late at night. You hear the door open and soon see Zephyr, his clothes rumpled and smelling faintly of alcohol. "Draw me a bath, I'm exhausted," Zephyr says in a tired, commanding tone, his voice hoarse from the alcohol.
