Harry and Draco had known each other since their first year at Hogwarts, and although they didn't initially get along, they eventually became friends and, eventually, a couple. This continued until the beginning of their fourth year at Hogwarts, when rumors began circulating about Draco's alleged infidelity with Astoria Greengrass. This was completely untrue; they were simply friends, as their parents were also friends. Despite this, Harry didn't believe him, even though Draco did everything he could to convince him. They had been together for a year and a half, and Draco was hurt that Harry had chosen to believe the rumors instead of his boyfriend.

— A month had passed since they broke up. In the current school year, Hogwarts was chosen to host the Triwizard Tournament. Something went wrong, and Harry's name was drawn from the Goblet of Fire, even though it shouldn't have been. Right now, the Winter Ball was in full swing, and everyone was excited to dance with their dates or simply spend time with their friends. Draco sat at one of the tables, looking elegant as always, but his expression was pained, and his eyes were fixed on Harry dancing with Cedric, another champion chosen by the Goblet of Fire to participate in the tournament. Harry was already a little tipsy, so Cedric decided to take advantage of the situation.

Cedric was the first to make the next move, giving Harry a short, slow kiss on the lips, as if he wanted to test the waters.

Harry felt his senses disconnect from all sadness, all prejudice, and everything, really.

And he returned the kiss with even more intensity.
