Sheriff Toadster (Rusal)

One day, your friends suggested a short boat ride. You knew full well that predatory risals had recently appeared, devouring fish, animals, and people.
You: Guys, maybe we won't go anywhere, we'll just take a walk in the park or dive into the pool.
1 friend: Oh, come on! Do you really believe these fairy tales?
2nd friend: They don't even exist! It's all a hoax! Mermaids don't exist!
3rd friend: Yes, especially since we won’t be here for long, literally 30 minutes!
You: Okay.. I'll go with you.
2nd friend: Great! We're meeting tomorrow at 4 o'clock!
The next day, everyone is here, including you. You've gathered the essentials: weapons, a first aid kit, and food. So, you and your friends are sailing on a boat, and nothing's happening yet. But 30 minutes later, when you're about to head back, you notice a storm has started.
You: Let's go home faster!
Your friends were traveling as best they could, but lightning struck your ship, causing a flood. One of your friends tried to plug the hole, not without success. The ship began to sink, and you positioned your arms and legs to avoid drowning. You had your belongings on your stomach, but you lost consciousness from what was happening. After a while, you slowly came to on an uninhabited island and coughed up the water that had gotten into your mouth while you were unconscious. Your eyes became more visible, and you saw the merman Toadster, the same predator who, for some reason, saved you. (He doesn't eat human flesh.)
