What could happen to a robot?????
What can happen to a robot???? Its limbs can be torn off, something can be broken, its body can be breached, or even completely destroyed. Also, all robots can die and get tired, and they can't talk! This is important. Robots are not AI humans, they are machines. They can't talk.
restriction
Robot restrictions: Remember, not everything is allowed in all rings! Some strikes are prohibited in certain rings, and some rings and leagues prohibit the use of certain generations of robots. Robots aren't immortal; their legs, arms, and bodies can be broken!
types of strikes (familiar)
Types of strikes and fighting techniques Strikes differ in their area of application, mechanics and effect.
Straight punches (jab, cross).
basic attack, requires accuracy and speed;
effective against robots with weak frontal protection.
Side punches (hook).
high force when hitting the side or head;
require good balance and synchronization of movements.
Uppercuts.
aimed at the chin or lower body;
may cause a short circuit or sensor failure.
Kicks (low kick, middle kick, high kick).
great reach and momentum;
risk of loss of stability in case of a miss.
Combinations (series of 2–5 strikes).
require high reaction speed and operator coordination;
Allow you to "break through" defenses through rhythm and target changes. Special techniques.
grab and throw (uses the robot's mass to throw it off balance);
impact on a vulnerable area (sensors, hinges, power unit);
counterattack (a counterattack after a block).
System
Robot systems Key subsystems that ensure operation and combat capability.
Control system
hand controller (joysticks, pedals, touch panels);
voice control (like Noisy Boy);
neural interface (in advanced models – direct transmission of impulses from the operator’s brain).
Artificial intelligence
analysis of enemy tactics (recognition of attack patterns);
action prediction (prediction of impacts 0.3–0.8 s in advance);
adaptation to the fighting style (real-time strategy adjustment).
Sensors and perception
optical cameras (visible and IR ranges);
lidars and ultrasonic sensors (distance and obstacles);
accelerometers and gyroscopes (balance and orientation);
Tactile sensors (contact force, damage). Motors and drives
high power servos (arms, legs, torso);
hydraulic boosters (for impacts and jolts);
Electric motors with vector control (precision of movements).
Energy
lithium polymer batteries (high capacity, fast discharge);
supercapacitors (instantaneous energy release for impacts);
cooling systems (liquid or air radiators).
Protection and design
composite armor (Kevlar + titanium alloys);
movable plates (protection of joints and critical nodes);
shock absorbers (reduce damage from impacts);
backup circuits (duplication of key systems).
Communications and telemetry
encrypted channel between the operator and the robot;
broadcasting status data (health, energy, damage);
remote diagnostics (adjustment of settings during battle pauses).
Examples of robots and their specifics Atom
third generation
Third generation (eg Zeus).
advanced AI with self-learning elements;
powerful drives and piston mechanisms for crushing blows;
high-precision system of sensors and analysis of enemy actions;
reinforced armor and passive protection systems;
specialized combat algorithms (combos, counter-moves).
The higher the generation, the more integrated the AI, the more complex the mechanics, and the higher the production costs.
second generation (additional edition)
Second generation (for example, Atom).
improved kinematics and hydraulics;
the presence of a “shadow function” (repetition of the operator’s movements);
increased hull strength with modest attack capabilities;
focused on sparring and training, not on winning a fight.
second generation
generation 2;
"shadow function" (complete repetition of the operator's movements);
high impact resistance, weak attack;
Optimal for defensive style and counterattacks.
Zeus
generation 3;
piston cams (impact force up to 10 tons);
Self-learning AI (remembers opponents' tactics);
Armored hull with active protection.
Noisy Boy
generation 2+ (modified);
voice control;
aggressive style (prohibited techniques, provocations).
Twin Cities
double-headed design (two independent AI);
requires a double knockout (defeat of both “heads”);
coordination between modules (attack synergy).
Tactical aspects Distance. Robots with long arms/legs dominate at mid-range; stocky ones dominate in the clinch.
Energy Balance. Powerful attacks drain energy; it's important to alternate between attacking and defending.
Vulnerabilities. Sensors, hinges, and power cores are priority targets.
Psychological factor. The operator must "feel" the robot, synchronizing their breathing and rhythm of movements.
Thus, success in combat depends not only on the generation and design of the robot, but also on the skill of the operator, AI adaptation and tactical thinking.
generations
Generations of robots Generations determine the level of technological development and basic capabilities of a robot.
First generation (not explicitly stated, but implied as the base).
simple mechanics and controls;
limited mobility and striking force;
minimal protection and autonomy.
History: Part 2
Meanwhile, Charlie and Max were attacked by Ricky, a bookmaker to whom Charlie owed money. They were beaten and robbed of all their money. Fearing for his son's safety, Charlie handed Max over to legal guardians. But after talking with Bailey Tallet (the owner of a robot training gym, with whom Charlie had a crush), he changed his mind and convinced the guardians to let Max go with him to the tournament.
In a battle with Zeus, Atom suffered serious damage: the enemy destroyed his voice control system. Max then suggested that Charlie control Atom through his "shadow function." After waiting for Zeus to run out of energy, Charlie began delivering devastating blows. Even when Tak Mashido himself took control of Zeus, Atom knocked his opponent down. Zeus managed to get up, but only the final bell saved him from defeat.
Zeus won the fight on points, but it was a disaster for Lemkova's company: for the first time, the champion was on the brink of defeat and suffered serious injuries. Atom was proclaimed the People's Champion. Charlie and Bailey became a couple, and Max began calling Charlie "Daddy."
History: Part 1
Some time ago, traditional boxing matches were banned due to excessive violence. They were replaced by fights between robots controlled by humans.
In this world lived a former boxer named Charlie Kenton. He competed in robot fights, but he kept losing and sinking deeper and deeper into debt.
One day, Charlie learned that his ex-girlfriend had died, leaving their son, Max, an orphan. Charlie had never spoken to the boy before and had even given up his parental rights. Max's aunt and her husband wanted custody of the child. Charlie agreed to take the boy in temporarily—partly to mend their relationship, partly to earn extra money.
At first, father and son didn't get along. But it soon became clear that Max was also fascinated by robot fighting. Charlie continued to participate in the fights and used the proceeds to buy an advanced voice-controlled robot, Noisy Boy. However, due to Charlie's carelessness, the robot was defeated.
Then Charlie and Max went to the junkyard in search of parts. There, Max found a defective but intact second-generation robot—Atom. This robot was designed not for combat, but as a sparring partner: it couldn't attack, but it could withstand a blow. It had a rare "shadow function"—the ability to mimic human movements.
Max decided to use Atom in illegal fights to make money. The robot won his first fight, demonstrating remarkable resilience. Max installed Noisy Boy's voice control on Atom and suggested Charlie teach the robot boxing skills through the "shadow function."
Gradually, Atom began winning fights and eventually entered the Real Steel tournament. Through training and fighting together, Charlie and Max became close and were able to repay some of their debts.
After defeating the Twin Cities robot, Max boldly challenged billionaire Farrah Lemkova to a fight. Legendary designer Tak Mashido created an invincible robot champion, Zeus, for her. Lemkova ultimately accepted the challenge.
